This weekend is definitely a stream monster weekend. Don't miss a second.

Events are in approximate order of start time. Note that events may be added/removed/updated as more information becomes available. If you have info on upcoming events for the week, or a stream you think should be featured, feel free to make a post below or send a PM.

Last week's thread (April 23-29)

APRIL 30 - MAY 6

SPECIAL EVENTS

May 4 is the 3rd KokuNuki Cup, a 3rd Strike 5on5 team battle event to be held at Game Spot Versus in Tokyo. If 3rd Strike is alive anywhere, it's in Japan, so expect to see a lot of great talent competing. The event will be streamed on Nuki's Nico community and begins at 3PM JST (UTC +9, 2AM EDT).

KVO THE ULTIMATE BATTLE will be taking place May 4-5 in Osaka, Japan. Organized by Kyamei, who also helps put together KUBOSGARDEN, the event will feature several games:

May 4
ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3 (3on3)
May 5
豪血寺一族 先祖供養 Gouketsuji Ichizoku: Matsuri Senzo Kuyou (Power Instinct 7)
persona4 The ULTIMATE in MAYONAKA ARENA

Some of the best Marvel players in Japan will be in attendance in what will be the biggest UMvC3 tournament in Japan thus far. The event is also a UMvC3 qualifier for Tougeki, so the winners of the UMvC3 tourney will get their blue tickets to compete in Tougeki 2012.

A sub-event for KVO 2012 is KVOxGODSGARDEN, a special collaboration. This is a 8-player semi-invitational with 1 player chosen by invite (Chou, the winner of KUBODSGARDEN in January); 4 by a fan vote held through last week; and 3 by a qualifier held right before the main tournament. The KVOxGODS vote is now closed, and the top vote recipients will be announced on AmalgameTV this Tuesday. The winner of KVOxGODS, sponsored by GODSGARDEN, earns a trip to EVO 2012.

Haunts, fubarduck and Bluerei will be traveling to Japan for KVO 2012 and the event will be streamed by IPLAYWINNER. In addition the three will be hosting "World Broadcasting Heroes", a show to be filmed during their stay that will function both as a documentary of the fighting game scene in Japan and as a travel guide for the Tokyo and Osaka areas. KVOxGODS is the 3rd event for Mix Up Night and will be streamed by MUN.

Shadowloo Showdown 2012 in Melbourne, Australia will be going down May 4-6. If you've seen the latest trailer, you'll know that a ton of star talent from across the globe will be in attendance (NOTE: ChrisG will not be going to SS2k12). Top-level players in KOF, 3S, UMvC3, VF5 and of course SSFIV AE are showing up, so expect to see some great action in all of the games.

The King of Fighters XIII
Skullgirls
SoulCalibur V
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver.1012
Street Fighter X Tekken
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Virtua Fighter5 Final Showdown

SS2k12 will be streamed by Shadowloo with two streams for the event,ShadowlooHQ and ShadowlooHQ2.

May 5-6 is Season's Beatings: Summer Slam. As a part of the Road to EVO 2012, all of the EVO games will be run, and being an SB tourney, of course there is ST.

King of Fighters XIII
Mortal Kombat
SoulCalibur V
Street Fighter X Tekken
Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Tournament of Legends qaulifier)
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver.2012
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

As with the past few Season's Beatings events, Summer Slam will be streamed by Team Sp00ky. While SS2k12 will be running the same days, the events are on opposite ends of the world, so there will be relatively very little time overlap. Are you stream monster enough to forgo sleep and watch them both?

Also May 5-6 in Sacramento, California is Battle at the Capitol, a special charity tournament. The entirety of the registration fee will go to Child's Play. All of the EVO games will have tourneys:

King of Fighters XIII
Mortal Kombat
SoulCalibur V
Street Fighter X Tekken
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver.2012
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Skullgirls (side tourney)

The event will be streamed by FinestKO and the first tourney is scheduled to start at 1PM PDT.

Damn, between Seasons Beatings and Shadowloo Showdown alone, there's going to be some insane stream monstering this weekend.

...bring it.

Awesome USD, thanks for posting.

So much mahvel, can't wait to see the japanese play again.

This weekend is insane for Marvel, I honestly don't know what to watch.

They don't overlap much so you can watch both. Unless you're talking about which to watch so you can sleep when the other is on, then yeah that will be kind of tough. Unless you're a SF4 fan, that will make it a very easy decision to decide which one yo should you want to watch over the other.

SUBBING. Will also be going to Battle in the Capital for SSFIV, but not Marvel.

So you did read my last post from the last thread(of course you did), good for you then. Good luck at the tournament.

Copy and pasted from my own post in the last thread because it seems to have gone unnoticed

http://shoryuken.com/2012/04/30/seg...r-5-final-showdown-to-evo-15000-up-for-grabs/

Sega providing up to 15k for VF5 at EVO. VF5 isn't even a official game at EVO. But with this much money on the line(and coming straight from Sega), you figure the least EVO could do is stream top 8 or so and help advertise the game in appreciation of what Sega is doing for the community. I guess that Razer sponsorship is sounding even better now for Itabashi and Fuudo. There is even more money to win in VF5 than SF4 unless Capcom steps in and shares some of that 500k that we heard about a while ago.

Momochi and Choco is also attending SS.

Good to know Justin won't be the only member of EG in the house. I guess the only announcement we're waiting on now is the mystery members of Team Mad Catz. There are like 100 players right now carrying the MCZ tag, so who knows who it could really be. But I'm sure most of us are assuming it's the 3 main members from Japan. Tokido is already confirmed, so I guess we'll find out soon that Mago and maybe Daigo will be joining him.

I am all kinds of ready for 0 sleep this weekend.

It's been too long since we've had some real international AE, I cannot fucking wait.

This is going to be my first weekend in a while chilling at home instead of driving out to locals myself. Couldn't have been timed better.

Season's Beatings better have some hype ass event matches like last year's Good Vs. Evil in Mahvel.

It's a major, but it's not intended to replace the Season's Beatings that normally takes place every October. I think this was basically thrown together to be part of the EVO tourney season and just to have another great major to attend in the Midwest. But I don't believe they'll go all out like they do for SB in October, which they still plan on doing.

Oh OK, I was wondering about the Season's Beating title for a while. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Season's beatings would be awesome if it has another good vs evil thing again. There aren't enough good Morrigan players though and she isn't nearly as dumb as Vanilla Phoenix.

They should make it "Chris G vs The world". That'd be hilarious and crazy unless Capcom patches the game after Evo.

Remember when EVO had EVO West, and EAST? It's like the same thing for Season Beatings. Or you can look at it like Summer Jam leading to NEC.

Shadowloo should be damn good.

Extremely curious to see how Xiahai(?) and Dakou(?) perform in KOFXIII, we have seen zero footage of them ever playing the game.

Guessing Daigo isn't attending? I'm sure it would have been advertised otherwise.

USD is best D

Aquasilk just said (on his stream which is live now here) that Team Rush Hour is confirmed at SFxT for Evo. :D

Does aqua have a weekly show or some sort of schedule? His streams are always the most relaxed and enjoyable but I always miss them live.

What is this "sleep" you guys keep mentioning?

Whatever it is, I intend to not partake in any of it this weekend. Only breaking for the Avengers movie.
