Cel shaded style holds up much better. That's why Vesperia is still the best looking Tales game.

Really not feeling it. Character Designs and voices are awful. And Female "Weapons" really? Always disliked that stuff in JRPGs/Anime etc.

Well it's out this year, so here's hoping for X2 after that.

The only design I don't like is the main protagonist. Everyone else is a little cutesy, but I'm sure I'll get used to them.

Man, the characters and "waifu swords" premise seem abysmal, but the game itself looks good, and it's great that they're still targeting this year... Means I have to get a Switch soon after all.

I mean this looks like something I'd never play, but I believe in Monolith.

The main character looks off and his voice is a little weird,but the other characters looks good IMO.Looking forward to picking it up later this year.

This thread in a nutshell.

I thought it looked good. The main char's VA is awful though, does not seem to match the character at all.

p.s: Whoever is saying this looks like a Wii game needs to get their eyes checked :).

This. Xenoblade characters have always looked awful. X just had the mechs and monsters to distract from it.

That being said the general visual quality makes me think this was a 3DS project at some point.

God, I can't fucking get over how fucking trashy the designs are. Everyone, EVEN THE FUCKING MALE MC, isn't wearing any fucking proper shirts/pants. The general cell shading is soo bad as well, everything just clashes soooo much with the semi realistic environment. God I hope the story is good, since I'm just expecting this to be a generic adventure story now if this the artstyle they think is fitting for it.

Oh well, at least the music is stellar.

Eh. Voice acting, graphics and character designs* all look pretty bad to me tbh. I'll wait to see how it plays if it's on treehouse but it doesn't look like the game who'll make me buy a Switch.

*The female characters, yikes. Idk if I'm getting tired of the whole pervy anime aesthetic or if they're just that bad.

Nah, just looks like the engine they used for the Wii, just HDified.

Pretty sure the last one is composed by Kiyota. They all sound great, but I actually like her track the best. Sounds like a battle track from ACE.

The trailer walked a fine-line to cringe territory but never fully reached it. Shame considering the first Xenoblade had excellent designs.

Please, for the love of god, make new equipments visible in-game and cutscenes.

Not a fan of the character designs. But eh, it's Xenoblade. I said the same thing about X and I really loved that game.

I'm excited. Seems like my kind of game, open world rpg and hopefully this time a lot of story unlike with X.

It's not like the MC is looking any better, that weird romp-like bodysuit with an awful looking armor on top of it, ugh...

But then again, character design was never their strong suit...

This looks a lot less ambitious than the first two Xenoblade games. Bad voice acting and those character designs ... Yikes. :-(

Seems it will deliver on what I want which is great visuals and hammy British voice acting. Really hope it makes it this year. Not a fan of multiplayer games so there's only a handful of games on the switch for me.

The characters look way better than the weird chucky-esque faces we got in the other two games. I rather take the generic anime look any day. Hyped as fuck!!
