ITT: 2d Fighting games we want to come to stores, virtual console, PSNetwork, or Live

I've been doing a bit of looking around the arcade scene overseas for awhile online, and I am discovering a vast network of titles that have never made it to consoles in any form over here in the states, or in Europe.

This thread is to post pics, links, and general lists of 2d fighters you want to make their way into your home via a console release or downloadable version.

Format as follows.

Name (in bold)
link
info or thoughts (in italics)

Sengoku Basara X
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDXSPUAHKiY
A capcom/arc system works 2d fighter starring the cast of Sengoku Basara (Devil Kings)

Hokuto No Ken

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08R7iKUMUHY
A Fist of the North Star 2d Fighter by Arc System Works. You heard me FIST OF THE NORTHSTAR 2D FIGHTER.

Red Earth (aka Warzard)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEkN9_Veevo&feature=related
A fantasy inspired capcom 2d fighter with lion men, withces, oni, and even a t-rex. Characters from this have made appearances in gem fighters, and Capcom fighting evo. No console version was released.

Melty Blood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j61lrfz9Uw
If you haven't heard of this fighter you have really been blind to arcade fighting fancircles. This is maybe the biggest fighter to hit the japanese scene in a long time.

Real Bout Fatal Fury Special: Dominated Mind
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NDEdoEnFjA
The last game in the Real Bout series and it has never made it over here even in the compilation discs. This game has a new character to play as, and a psychic Clockwork Orange inspired boss named White plus new combos!

Chaos Code
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH8lcXg6uws
A fairly newgame to hit the scene, but very good looking. I would love to give this a shot.

EDIT:
Here is a list from another thread that compiles...well...almost every fighter ever made for a quick reference of things to look at or post.

X-men vs Street Fighter, online.
Marvel vs Capcom 1, online
SNK vs Capcom 2: EO, online.
Guilty Gear: XX: The Midnight Carnival: ^Core, online.

Great choices so far. Try to stick to the format if you can, because some vids would really be awesome.

EO though?

Arcade/DC/PS2 version is the tourney standard thanks to the roll cancel glitch or whatever.

Who cares about Tourney standard when they'll get Backbone to do a shitty port job.

See: MvC2.

Yeah.

I really only care about arcade stuff that haven't had ports yet.
Same. That's why I can get behind that Red Earth suggestion. They could even add a vs mode where you can select all the "bosses" to make it somewhat worthwhile.

Since this is a fantasy thread, why would any of that matter?

Because we know even in fantasy land, Capcom would pull that bullshit.

Fersis

It is illegal to Tag Fish in Tag Fishing Sanctuaries by law 38.36 of the GAF Wildlife Act
PSN :

Garou : Mark Of The Wolves
The King Of Fighters XI
The King Of Fighters 98UM
The King Of Fighters 02UM

I would be happy with those.

Last Blade 1+2 (SNK fighter that had a strangely horrible job done amongst the other perfectly solid NEOGEO PS2 ports)

Rival Schools and Power Stone 2-Packs (Yeah I've heard with RS they wanted to but can't due to some minor licensing issue)

And pretty much everything else people have already posted.

EDIT: Speaking of SNK and Capcom, port SVC MotM for the 3DS virtual console!

The chances of this ever getting rereleased are like, none, but it'd be cool to play this on something other than MAME.

Pocket Fighter/Super Gem Fighter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV6LtV8ua3w
The Puzzle Fighter spin-off.

Power Instinct 3: Groove-On Fight
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABEwp0rzsYI
Never got a release outside of Japan of any sort, over-the-top tagteam game.

Shogun Warriors
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz4gY9d7uxw
I would start ten XBL accounts and download this game to each one.

What's so shitty about that port job? I didn't play much of that version, but it seemed pretty normal to be.

PS3 runs a little slow.
360 runs hella fast.

Cable's hyper viper beam able to hit through block (patched).

SRK and others have gone down this road. It's a pretty bad port of what was supposed to be arcade/DC "perfect."

do they still use that version for evo or did they go back to dreamcast?

They went back to Dreamcast. Seasons Beatings used the 360 version, IIRC. But most people consider the 360/PS3 versions to be terrible ports.

That's hilarious considering how much they celebrated not having to use Dreamcasts a couple of years ago. The Dreamcast will never die!

ah, didn't even notice that... only ever played arcade/ps2 version

Season's Beatings used the Dreamcast port. Shit was blue screens city.

I want the latest version of Matrimelee released. They're on the third version or so of that game, with the PS2 version being the second.

I also want a port of Jojo, so I can finally drop my Dreamcast.

The Rumble Fish 2

This is all. Anything else I've played can stay where it is because, to be honest, most of the games I've played that didn't get any ports were usually crap.

Well KOF02UM coming out in a few days is really getting me hyped. That leaves a few other Neo-Geo faves...

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2
get that Dominated Mind bs outta here
World Heroes Perfect
Fighters History Dynamite/Karnov's Revenge
and maybe KOF2000 to get one of the strikers games onto the current systems.

Capcom could dust off...

SF EX2+

This seems likely to happen one day, as ASW is reportedly involved. Hopefully, we'll know something a bit more about this game soon enough.

Any way...

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Fight for the Future
- An HD remake of the Araki-styled sprites would be heavenly, but just seeing the game getting another chance at the wide-spread love it deserves is already something. Dammit, Capcom! Get the license back, already!

Groove On Fight - It's easily one of the greatest games in the Gouketsuji/Power Instinct series, which tragically is only available on the Sega Saturn as of now. Atlus, it would be appreciated if you would at least bring out a "Power Instinct Collection", along with that new Gouketsuji game that's been in arcades for a minute.

Vampire Savior - Want an easy way to help build hype for the inevitable Darkstalkers 4, Capcom? Start with this game, and GGPO it up on PSN/Live. Get in on what the PC emulation scene has been doing for these last few years.

TMNT Tournament Fighters (SNES)
- Again, this only applies to the SNES version, which definitely is the best of the bunch. And also is actually a good fighter in all other respects.

Astra Superstars, ANYWHERE but having to buy the Saturn version at this point (so expensive!)

Cyberbots, on PSN/XBLA.

And all the usual suspects from Capcom etc.

KAL2006

Banned
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
add, Isuka (2vs2) and Judgement (side-scrolling beat em up) mode as well

King of Fighter 98UM and Garou MOTW
both were released, but this time release a better port with good netcode

Last Blade 2 and Samurai Shodown VI
the weapon based fighters from SNK

Capcom VS SNK 2 and Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
2 of the finest fighters from Capcom and SNK

I also want SSFIV and MvC3 to be released digitally as I am lazy to change disks

Agreed. Throw in a fix for Fatal Fury Special so I can get my Duck King on online.

This game seriously needs a revival. I don't think there's a 2D fighter that's as easy to pick up as this one.

Holy Shit this looks awesome!

Oh hey I remember that! That was the spiritual successor to Sunsoft's Waku Waku 7 wasn't it?

Would love to see the following for download:

Melty Blood AA
Guilty Gear XX AC+
Darkstalkers Collection

Would be nice to see some better NEO-GEO ports as well. Most of their catalog is on PS2 but would definetly enjoy playing Samsho Collection and Last Blade on 360/ps3.

Not natively. Melty Bread, the melty blood fan community has a tutorial on how to get online with it through PSCX2 though.
