The age thing isn't really a huge deal in my opinion...it's just that I really, really don't know how you could stand dating a 16 year old...I can't even stand 19-20 year olds (I'll be 22 later this year) and my last few GFs have been that age.

And wtf, you said you've been dating since FRIDAY? That's not dating...it's called getting hugged and falling in love with the first person who pays attention to you.

God...I actually prefer most "wahhh! I'm a virgin!" threads to this one, and that's saying alot.

But anyway, yeah, I agree that the age difference isn't as big of a deal as you guys are making it. Physically 16-year-olds are pretty much fully developed. It's society that makes those rules; in other countries people wouldn't bat an eyelash to a 20-year-old going out with a 16-year-old, but they'd probably question a 14 or 15-year-old doing the same.

Mentally...different story; worlds apart 90% of the time. But I have a friend who's 17, but is more intelligent, mature, and level-headed than almost every person I know that's my age. There are people out there who are that young and are very developed mentally ^^

**First paragraph applies only if he isn't hitting it. If he is, then that's pretty fucking irresponsible.

Your thread couldn't have come in a better time. I met this girl last friday with an online dating website and well it worked out. I'm not ashamed or anything, she is georgeous and all, but I just don't like the reaction of people when I tell them I met my actual girlfriend with the help of the Internet. I mean, what's the difference between meeting a girl in a club, by accident or by a friend of yours? Then again, people have stereotypes about Internet dating :*(.
