Treasure Island Z (Wii) full page scan

So this is what Capcom meant when they said they were focusing on more family appealing games with the Wii. Looks great to me, I love cell shading and definitely love to see more games use the process properly. This seems like another Zelda inspired adventure title for Capcom.

Looks interesting and the art style is definitely rocking now that I can actually SEE the scans. :p

Those are pretty clear, Blim.

That reminds me I wanted to do some testing with a new filter for scanned images I've found, what do you guys think of these?
Same scans as op, but filtered.

Looks good, sharp and less jaggy/dithered then the normal scans

Looks nice, hopefully we'll see a video showing Wiimote use soon. I see that you can use an umbrella and a saw with the Wiimote but I wanna see what else you can do with it.

THAT´s Capcom´s effort for Wii-games?

And then they wonder when they dont sell games on a Nintend-console ...

Right.. efforts like this and Resident Evil 4 are definitely why Capcom has been failing in Nintendo sales. Please capcom, make something good for a nintendo system for once!!!

what makes you say that? the art style and graphics look pretty good...and not much is known about the gameplay. why do you think its a poor effort? cause there arent any guns or violence?

Looks like a fun game btw.
Hm, I don't see much of a difference tbh. If you compare them directly, the filtered ones are in fact a little blurrier (developer-photo on the first page) and some details get lost. The pirate hat on the bottom is smoother.
But the scans were pretty good before; maybe it is better suited for less good scans.

A bit counterintuitive but they probably didnt spend $40M on this thing like they did with the 360. I like the look of the game so far, but I can't deny that they are "kiddie". I don't even care about guns and violence, I just want more "realistic" and grown up styled stylizations(Okami, Viewtiful Joe), less chubbies and chibis. More anime styled stuff is encouraging but I also want my Evangelions and Escaflownes.

Thank you. You are so committed to Wii press coverage, and it is for the good.
I like CapCom trying on Wii something à-la Wind Waker, since EAD doesn't seem pointing at that art style console-wise, and it's a pity and a mistake, in my opinion. I would like to have sooner or later a Twilight Princess rival!

I like the looks of this game, however it's becoming a little bit annoying that Japanese devs seem to be unable to release games with a character with realistic proportions (except for the awesome, awesome Suda51).

looks good but i'd like to see what it does to screens of a game that isn't cel shaded to really judge it.

Wait, what is the name of the game? The design is gorgeous. Is that even a real game???

edit: nvm :lol I need some sleep. Good night/morning.

Edit: This has nothing to to with the Treasure Island Z, only about the scan filtering. Just a reminder.
there's definate loss of detail... makes it look more like a painting than a screenshot which you can't really see from a cel shaded game.

for anything other than cel shading i think it could be a bit misleading when it comes to nitpickers, but if i wanted to put that on my desktop, i'd absolutely used the filtered version.

Looks nice but now I want to hear about Inafune's project Capcom !

I wouldn't mind having news from RE UC too.

I like the filtered scans better. Not only does it lack that grain from the scans, but, it also makes it easier to make stuff out of the shots!

Is character design done by the same guy who did Tomba because oddly, it reminds me of it.

That was exactly my first thought when I saw the scans...
Is anyone able to answer this question?
