At least there weren't any timed delivery missions that you'd have to start all over again. Neither Rain nor Sleet nor Skags took me ~10 tries before I gave up and finished it in multiplayer. Are there any more of those missions in the game?

There's three of them iirc (obtained at the motel, overlook & erydium blight).
I only did those quests on my first playthrough of my first character on PC. Never again.

I'm trying to finish all of the missions for the trophy before starting True Vault Hunter Mode. Definitely not looking forward to those...

I guess the moral of the story is, if you finish more than one mission turn it in. I tend to finish a mission and not turn it in because the damn loading screen takes forever when switching areas.
Good to know. I just took on like 41894 quests, (ok like 9), and have been bouncing from one to another without turning them in. I'll sit through the extra minute or two of delivery before I go much further..

Can always come back later when you're high-level and can one shot everything. It'll speed things a bit.

Also, if the delivery locations are far away from each other, you can leave vehicles near them before starting the quest and then teleport via the Catch-a-Ride stations. They're all feasible without such thing, of course.

Those missions really aren't fun to do or worth doing solo. They seem to be purely designed for multiplayer where you're better able to cover a map quicker with multiple vehicles.

What's so special about this patch? Is there something more than the small boost in performance that has people feverishly waiting in anticipation, refusing to play further until the patch drops?

I HATE these. Here I thought escort missions were the worst mission design but then this.

I've accepted them and they are in my queue but I won't try them again until I'm at least ten levels higher so I can mow through any opposition.
Learning where everything is before the mission starts is critical

Also just wanted to say that I absolutely love this game. I would love to see the pre sequel come out on vita as well but I doubt it will happen.

It fixes gyro and touchpad controls, has typeface fixes, maybe some more stuff...
It hasn't stopped me from playing although I'm looking forward to it

Got my Borderlands 2 bundle in yesterday and I have to say I'm very impressed with the port. I've put about 100 hours into the PC version on max settings and I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this despite the framerate. I'm only at the beginning cove so it may get much worse but right now its perfectly fine.

Im hoping that it will fix the bullet lag problem, there is a delay between when the gun actually goes off and when the bullets actually spawn and do damage.
As somebody who has owned the game on three consoles now, this issue, and the crashing issues are the ones id like to see fixed

I've got about 40 hours into the vita version and I've had one crash.

That's pretty good considering this was reported to be an absolutely abominable port.

One thing that might be helping me is I usually wait until UE3 textures have loaded fully before running off and blasting things. Maybe that helps?

I have to pick sides in a clan war tonight and I'm not sure which side to go with. I've been thinking about it all morning off and on

I don't know if the bullet lag went away as I progressed in the game or if I got used to it. It REALLY bothered me at the first areas of the game, but now I don't notice it much.

Not that one could notice it while gunzerking.

The quest rewards aren't all the rage, but the loot from the defeated party may be: if you side with the Zafords, the Hodunk leader can drop the Slagga (smg, three shots per bullet, always slag elemental). If you side with the Hodunk, the irish leader can drop the Maggie (pistol, 6 shots/bullet). Both are legendaries and you might need to farm them (the enemy clan always respawn on load).

Aww yeah. I need that SMG! Say your prayers, Hodunks!!!
Tonight you go to that trailer in the sky

Thats some real specific stuff... I was kind of hoping for a more wide ranging performance increase, and hopefully they did not feel the need to address every crash in the notes.

PS blog post is up.
  • We’ve worked with Iron Galaxy Studios to improve stability and performance throughout the game, including addressing known issues with audio playback.
  • Gyroscopic controls can now be independently inverted. This should ensure that fans of inverted vertical look will also be able to enjoy Gyroscopic aiming as well!
  • There are now scaling sliders for rear touch inputs in the Options menu. Many users mapped lesser used actions to the rear touch but reported that in gripping their PS Vita systems, they’d still accidentally trigger those inputs. Users can now scale the input area down to much smaller zones, mitigating this.
  • Lastly, we’ve addressed an issue where players were not notified that their online session had expired, which caused players to incorrectly appear available for multiplayer.
Seems like a good update overall.

I don't know if I have the eye to tell, but I just did a whole mission without a noticeable stutter so that's pretty cool.
But I think that would happen occasionally before the patch as well

Downloading the update. I'm most excited about inverted gyro aiming and the game is fine with what it is.

Some people were expecting it to look just like the PS3 game with the patch or something.

Hopefully there are more patches and more DLC later

Oy just to the Talon of God mission... definitely gonna have to run some side missions before advancing

Also: I wonder if this game will be playstation tv compatible when that thing comes out. I'd like to try it with a DS4, just to see

Probably not, since this has forced touch and rear touch controls. They could always patch in Vita TV support like what the KZM guys are doing though.

Running off of Custom Firmware
So it looks like the framerate still sucks, bullet lag is still a thing, audio's still borked, and the game still crashes to desktop at the worst times.

Did they at least get around to fixing the missing vault symbols?
