PGR5 speculation thread Lucid dreams with Rare side effects?

Eh, I would have made it anyway ;)

I actually thought about that this arvo... if what we want doesn't eventuate, then at worst it's been a hectic, fun little bonding session/ride with every other poster that's passed through this thread (and the PGR appreciation one). At best... new PGR!

Edit: For the new page:
May or may not be newsworthy, make of it what you will:

Might just be that they were on FB posting their Jacob Jones stuff, but maybe...
OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT

And if people care, how to get PGR4 photos from your 360 onto your computer (without pgrnations.com).

It's in km/h, so it's obviously referring to somewhere not US-based (rules out FM).

That's all I've got for now.

Lucid only need to release a HD remake of PGR 2 and I'll be happy. I'm just glad something is happening for them as a studio.

When BADNED talks, you listen.

He either works for Turn 10 or has very, very close ties with them (or MGS) somehow. I never really know exactly who or what he is, I just know that he knows everything.

Yep. No idea who he is but he seems to know everything t10 related.

It's not only Turn 10 related though. It seems he has inside knowledge on a few racing game franchises..

I think we actually saw BADNED one time in a picture I posted way back in the FM4 thread.

You never really did tell us BADNED if that was you or not. Was it you...?
Tell us man, even if I wanted to dig that pic out I won't be able to find it.

Didn't BADNED also run Forzacentral.com? I remember him being the most active admin over there all the way from Forza 1 to 3 (and maybe even longer)?

Wind effects were underused this gen. The desert level in Killzone 2 represents it very well though. Flying dust/debris, flapping tarps, deafening whistles from the wind.. it adds so much to the atmosphere.

If Badned is implying hurricane-like environments in PGR5, then it's going to be amazing. I want to see soda cans slick across, heavy rain drops from an angle, umbrellas rocking all with amazing thundering sound effects.

Maybe it's going to be called PGR: Hurricane? I guess an old franchise with a 5 on the end might not seem like the most appealing place for next-gen newcomers to jump in?

There is a music festival that is called Hurricane. Uhoh.

Was the tagline there before on the lucid page?
"Your journey is about to begin" ?

So huh... Lucid only did iOS stuff so far?
Do we even have a confirmation that this is for a home console game?
No confirmation on anything, as far as I know - but Lucid also did OnLive ports for a bunch of games (LA Noire, Dirt 3, etc.) and are certified developers for Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft consoles.

Would love to play a new PGR.

Just spent a few hours with PGR4 last weekend, still plays amazing.

I'll also send angry PMs to you guys for getting me hyped if nothing happens.

Found this too...

"The bands that make the Hurricane one of the biggest music festivals in Germany lie along a broad spectrum covering rock, alternative, metal, indie and electronic. A great safety record and seamless organisation make everything that bit sweeter, and camping out is simple and cheap, whether you bring a camper van, motorhome or caravan. There's more than enough space after all: the Eichenring motorbike racetrack in Scheessel is not only big enough but it's also easy to reach thanks to its location between Bremen and Hamburg."

I was there several times (I'm from germany) - the racetrack is for bikes only afaik. I don't think it has anything to do with this festival. But I could be wrong.

The wind blows = sailing = boats
At 120 km/h = minimum speed like PGR3

We're finally getting Forza Watersport :

I liked Blur, but for me it just didn't have the pure, clean, epic, car-and-city-porn feel of Project Gotham. So, yeah, they can make Blur 2, but they should make a new PGR first.

Oh and if they can ditch the licensed music and bring back the Richard Jacques sound-alike stuff from MSR, that'd be nice.

I'm not sure nudey photos would do much to help my case.
