New Chie isn't bad at all, but it's still too weird. My brain is having trouble recognizing it as the same character.

Considering it's canon and takes place 2 months after P4, you'll probably run into huge spoilers.
You will run into significant spoilers for P4. Virtually everything except the identity of the murder is spoiled as far as I can tell.
Well, I haven't seen the story mode yet, but like someone else said it takes place AFTER p4, and it's got 30-40 hours worth of story itself, so I think it'd be pretty difficult for them to make it avoid all spoilers.

The more I watch of this, the more excited I get. Absolutely love the UI. And the gameplay looks fun obviously and if it's easy to get into, I can pull more friends into this to try and level up offline.

I can't say for sure, but it's looking that way. I've seen no significant spoilers in arcade mode videos, beyond small stuff like Naoto being a girl. =P
If you skip all the scenes in arcade mode, there probably won't be any story stuff at all, beyond character traits and whatnot.

Not sure about in the arcade or story modes, but earlier I was watching a stream and a player had the opportunity to switch between Rise and a Blank TV (which I assume means no announcer)

P3 is better than P4, but P4 has cooler menus and a better theme song. Neither one is garbage though, unlike Digital Devil Saga.

Muladhara is the only redeeming quality for that steaming pile of dookie.
Watch some Japanese footage, bro. No offence but some of the level of play is really low on these streams which to be fair isn't a surprise since the game is kinda new to console warriors. I know some decent channels if you need me to post them.

When TheBrett himself plays, the level of play tends to go up a bit. Sadly he's auto-passing a lot and we get some really low level stuff.
