Yeah. Youtube comments have a way of making you feel kinda old.

Look up like any game from the last generation, and you'll find someone saying, "This was the first game I played!"

I have a shitty Let's Play of I-Ninja on my channel that I abandoned when I realized that I wasn't funny or interesting and also was extremely lazy, and I have like five "This was the first game I played!" and "This was my favorite game when I was little!" posts on the first video.

Wtf is dubstep exactly? I thought it had to have that stupid WUBWUBWUB noise. This just sounds slightly remixed. A bit too elementary, but not bad. I love what little music there is in this game.

Dubstep is a genre that evolved from garage music. It can be alot of things, but it's mostly characterised by a two step beat with a fairly stark atmosphere.

What people are listing as WUB WUB WUB brostep here is a bastardised form created by Rusko and further bastardised by American artists like skrillex and bassnectar and holds very little resemblance to actual dubstep.

Youtubers thinking they are musically inclined ruin the good name of actually really good Dubstep artist. Namely by making it seem like all dubstep sounds like you are getting a cat scan.

That said the farming simulator video is a true gem, the fact that it is a Skrillex song really drives the douchebaggery home. Lol.

Except at one time, trance was actually decent :p

(honestly, even the "oldskool" pre-wub dubstep, i.e. Skream, Loefah, DMZ record label - never really did much for me. LOVED the hell out of 2-step/UK garage though)

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, with its awesome music, is apparently immune to dubstep.

Alas, the same cannot be said for Final Fantasy Adventure. (Mystic Quest in EU...)

You know that Dubstep is here to stay judging by:

1. Everybody freaking out with exaggerated disgust (i.e. they subconsciously know it's not going away).

2. Dubstep nerds pissed off that the mainstream is "exposing" them, and that Skrillex is 2 cool and 2 popular, which proves all new wubwub is fraud.

Yep, it's the world of music all right :lol:

I don't think it has much longer as a trend, because EDM fans/producers/DJs are some of the most whimsical people in music (save maybe hipsters). We will all move on to the next thing faster than you can say "wub wub".
