So this company called Illusion announced an Oculus / Vive game today due out in January 2017 called VR Kanojo, and it's basically an exact rip of Summer Lesson but it's an "adult game."

lmao watched the trailer and it's a friggin rip-off. Similar girl, room, scenes... even yes/no choices with the same face icons lol.
everything from the game title logo, concept, character, school uniform design, gameplay are all ripoff. Companies like Illusion like to rip off popular concepts but I think they went a little too far this time. I wonder how Harada and Bamco might take action.

tbh illusion has had games like this for a while now, i remember one where it used a webcam to track head movements that came out a while back. Real Kanojo or something like that. had 3 women to choose from, friend, genki girl and teacher iirc. Remember all this shit is nsfw when you search it.

I mean, I know they had that DOA Xtreme inspired game but as raven777 said this one is so blatant.
It's not about if this is their first VR game or not, is just that everything shown is just straight copied (not inspired, copied), as I said even the icons lol
Animation wise Summer Lesson is on another level. Don't compare that illusion whore with pure Hikari-chan.

yea I know it's on another level. Watching that trailer of VR kanojo made me realize how good Summer Lesson's animation is. It feels even better when you actually play it with VR headset compared to just watching the trailers.

Anyways, point still stands in regards to Summer Lesson. I too wonder what Harada thinks.... probably doesn't give much of a fuck.

"Japanese person in a school uniform" is a pretty common idea.
As far as what action they can take, I don't think you can sue someone for being a clone. Otherwise, we wouldn't have a million games that look like COD or Mario Kart.

its porn, nothing is original except the tacky puns . Just think of this as the parody version of the avengers XXX (fill any parody name here ) minus the good outfits. Hell 90s hentai games/dating sims all followed the same tropes and Gainax designs for the most part.
The similarity is well beyond just a girl in school uniform. The hairstyle, overall character features, and the school uniform design (while it's pretty standard, the small details like the checked stripes on the arm are even similar)
Maybe Harada will just express his displeasure on his twitter and that might be about it...
It carries a Cero B rating so it can't really be lewd. The animations look REALLY good. This might end up being one of the best VR launch experiences out there. I'm going to give it a shot. I wasn't interested in it at all and found it kinda weird at first, but the more I saw the more intrigued I was.
It's funny how few weeks ago the game said they were expecting Cero D rating, but it ended up getting Cero B.
Tbf from the demo I played, there isn't really anything that would give higher than Cero B rating. I doubt you can look at her underwears or anything like that.

Lol dear god no. No console game in Japan has any kind of porn or anything softcore or hardcore. Especially ever since they formed CERO to rate games. Nowadays Japanese versions have more censorship when compared to NA ESRB rated games.
Look at all the crazy censorship for GTAV and I think the Witcher 3 also.
For the former Trevor has boxers in his debut and that paparazzi mission is no longer an voyeuristic porno.
I'm not doing so hot first time through, first day I guessed right and her motivation jumped up but the next two days I botched it and she is pretty bummed at the moment. But the animation is really amazing I think, and it is definitely a little jarring when she moves in close.
It is a bit of a bummer to not be playing any active role really in the lessons themselves (just before/after), but you unlock new interactions as you go along so i hope there is some neat stuff along the way.

I'm really curious to see how they did the animations. I'm also hoping they put out an update with the blonde chick before the end of the year.

Man, I'm going to have a hard time with this. My Japanese comprehension, or at least what I know if it, is slow as hell sometimes. I might be a full sentence back when I listen to the radio.
Also, how is it jarring when she gets close? Also, does she have dead eyes?
