What you mean by that

G Gundam, Escaflowne, and Cowboy Bebop are the main Sunrise TV shows produced and animated by the studio and staff who would go on to form BONES. Exact same people. God-tier action animator Yutaka Nakamura was born in blood and fire working on these shows. He animated the entire second half of Escaflowne episode 2 alone over 6 months.

Seikaisuru Kado 03

You know except for the point when you think about the implication of an infinite power supply, this show has been rather boring. Shindou is boring as fuck and way too cool with alien dude, most of the other character's besides the young scientist are dull as fuck, and everyone just seems way too at ease about an interdimensional alien and their tech. People are acting WAY too fucking calm about all this.

Precure a la mode 12

You know, I wonder if they're going to use some kind of attack on him and it turns out he's actually a girl or was a particularly powerful fairy and was merely disguising himself as a boy, or that he was never a boy at all and everyone just assumes he is.

Re:Creators 03

Disappointed we didn't' get to see edgy dude beat the living shit out of the magical girl. Oh well, maybe next time.

Alice to Zouroku 04

Not surprised to learn Alice isn't actually a human. Minnie C though, this lady isn't to be fucked with.

Escaflowne is a good show to watch. Love it when I manage to go back and rewatch it in my collection. I guess the only flaw is Hitomi as a character but she isn't too bad in the show. If you have the chance, go watch the FOX version on YouTube. It's much different tone of the show and unfortunately, only few episodes was released before it was pull off.

Horny Priest ep.4
Well, at least she pumped the brakes on things a little...

Nana ep.34
Opps, there's asshole Takumi back in a flash. This isn't going to work out at all for Hachi. Nana is also loosing her mind here. Seriously, everyone in this show is miserable as fuck right now...

Eeeeh, I guess the series lost its momentum... Weirdly paced episode, it seemed like it was constantly on fast forward. I really hope they won't continue like that for the remaining words.

Also, the set up of the episode was oddly situational. If Akko and co. weren't there, would the entire town perish?

The duck needs more screen time on his own for sure. Nina is fun, but will be a terror shortly. For who she is a terror is the good question here...

Yup, that is the one. Only 10 episodes was shown when it was aired in North America but from the look of it, 15 episode was produce with this dub. More info of the link.
http://lostmediaarchive.wikia.com/wiki/The_Vision_of_Escaflowne_(Rare_Fox_Kids_Dub)

If you want to take a stab of it, the link below will take you to the dub. I would advice to watch the show in the original proper dub (or the new dub from Funimation if you want newer dub) before you watch the Fox one so you can aperciate the difference of it.

Could someone help me identify this Japanese live action detective show I just saw on Japanese tv?

It was on TV Shizuoka and was a typical eccentric genius detective show with the eccentric describe in a blue coat acting overly rich and extravagant and letting his maid mostly talk through the case for him. Also the decently smart but not smart enough female student/police/whatever and the comical dumb detective, as side characters.

It's nothing special but it's my type of dumb tv and I would like to see more of it. Would accept anything in a similar vain as well.

Yeah, wacky zany adventures are not this series's strong point. Stick to the evolution of magic please. Lotte didn't do anything, and this was her home.

I like that there are certain cuts that are in one episode but not the other for the purposes of connecting everything and setting up every character before that fateful morning of ZOMG cube outta nowhere. They're hailing Shindo as the realistic Roger Smith or something.

Are there any good articles that talk about that? I'm already aware of a lot of the details but it would be interesting reading comments from the people involves or just general reseearch about the creation of BONES.

Continues to be interesting, perhaps even more so. I also start to like Shindo, who really has the most important role to this story. I'm not sure what direction the show will take, things are progressing rather fast, but I feel that something bad will eventually happen. In this kind of stories, humans are usually the real scum. Though, considering zaShunina is a God, more or less, it's not like they can oppose him...

There's another Megumin?

There's a whole village of Megumins.

This was quite a convenient encounter with an Alien species. A cool build up but I felt its color palette and/or style didn't chime in with the mysterious tone very well, briefly at least. It used a lot of bright/vibrant colors/patterns and while that was a peaceful encounter, it kind of undermined a sense of suspense and mystery until a threat was put out of the question. That said, the visualizations themselves looked really beautiful, I was utterly awestruck the first time they got down from the flight and the room lit up.

What's with 3DCG main characters and 2D side characters, are they trying to make a statement here?!

I was referring to this article on CR Apparently, she was in the last episode of the second season. She'll be featured in volume 11 of the light novel out next week (in Japan).

You don't remember the flashbacks showing Megumin's sister praising her for unpraiseworthy things?

I don't remember her being in the last episode of the second season.

This is missing a scene in which all characters check out fanfiction.net and find all the stuff people have been writing about them.

Also uuuh, I'll give it more episodes, hopefully it gets better.

Princess Lover ep.9-END
WTF was that ending?
Typical harem non-ending with no winner
...uugghh. the comedy in the show was hit or miss, the girls were alright and the show did them no favors by not doing any relationship developement with the MC outside of the Princess. MC and maid best characters...
Oh well, at least they all got a kiss in at some point..
Gladit'sover/10

Yup from just after the ferris wheel it gives up on anything interesting and decides it has a "super cereal plot you guys" and ditches the nice bits of writing that made the first few episodes stand out. Total harem non-ending too which makes the porn OVA all the more hilarious to me.

I mean did they just fire whoever wrote the scenes with the parents and the grandfather's grudge bits and hand the reins over to whoever wrote the "holiday resort / ICBM base" plot? When they first brought that up I thought they were joking but nope the entire back half of the series revolves around this with total dead pan seriousness.

Tiger Mask W - 27

Finally caught up with this show (Cor blimey Spring Tiger with those abs!) and some great moves in this fight but the end with
Tiger Mask's heel turn? Whaaaaat?! Definitely caught me by surprise that!

Does he ever talk in the OVA?

I almost want to try and find the OVA for research purposes, but then I talk myself down from that bridge..

Yeah, that plot wasn't really needed and tge show would have been more fun without it.

I feel like there are two kinds of people.

People who want Benten to stand on them.
People who want Benten to get her comeuppance.

This episode manages to please literally everyone.
