I'm hesitant to suggest it because he's being needlessly boneheaded recently (and it's not the first time), but usee BornToPlay was selling codes for $18. Not sure if Wii U or Switch though.

I'm trying to get that Pokemon Gold theme that was only available if you pre-ordered from the eShop (would have been nice to know that BEFORE I bought an Amazon code...) but I have a feeling that the majority of NeoGAF already redeemed their codes so asking on this site might not yield any results haha!
