Does Tokyo Mirage Sessions count as a Fire Emblem Spin Off? But I guess that one didn't do so well either right? But yeah, completely different circumstances there on the Wii U to begin with.

I mean, believe me I'll be happy to think Xeno 2 will have a better performance. I mean, at least I'm really hoping it will do better than Xeno X.

Btw, what were Xeno X's sales in Japan? (and the West?)

We don't know the western sales. Japanese sales are as follows:

389./064. [WIU] Xenoblade Chronicles X # <RPG> (Nintendo) {2015.04.29} (¥7.700) - 8.753 / 127.366 (-93%) (85.586 <72,01%>)

Wow, what a bad week for games all around. I guess Japan is waiting for that Odyssey to drop and no, I don't mean that classic released on XB360 9 years ago.

Why should we, Pokemon is great. This one I have not preordered though, I'm going to wait for reviews and when I finish DQX Version 4.

Its a FAD!

I'm jealous I don't play Pokemon, my eyes are bad and cannot do handheld gaming for long

I really hope the Switch game is good but with my luck the fad will end at the release

Thanks guys!

So basically, at least as far as Japan is concerned. Xenoblade X did worse than its predecessor. Obviously a lot of factors involved (Wii -> Wii U, X being more "experimental"), but I would imagine that its performance must have been somewhat lacking to expectations.

And then, I would very much expect that Nintendo would like to hope that Xeno 2 definitely surpasses X in sales.

I remember the reception to X in japan wasn't as great as the first game which made the legs not as great.

Do we need those numbers though?
We know that DQX (Wii) total shipment in Japan was 700K.
After that the Wii expansion pack released in December 2013 did about 145K and matched the WiiU version.
In April 2015 the second Wii expansion pack sold about 105K.
A big chunk of DQX users through time came from Wii, it's the reason why SquareEnix is trying to entice them to transitioning from Wii to Switch by offering them a "free" Switch version (it's free because DQX monetize from the monthly subscription fees and by selling the new expansion pack next November).

We will never get real number for this game because retail PC box and digital may take a cake for some. They even sell laptop DQX edition twice and PC rig DQX edition once.

But I can give you one interesting number.
Almost DQX live stream event (like update info) they always have audieneship around 90,000-100,000 Niconico members watching.
Who the hell watching it if not the active players anyway.

Stop hoping for Falcom guys. They dont care about Ninty platform as they are deeply locked in Sony platform and probably too lazy to try to branch out at all lol.

SnK on the other hand i would love to see come to Switch. Give me Days of Memories 4.^_^ Give us more Kula and Leona goodness.

Level-5 has Inazuma Eleven Ares. It's for consoles, the footage we've seen so far has too high resolution to be on 3DS, and the choice between PS4 and Switch should be an easy one for a kids-focused game. There's also that report/rumour about Layton coming to Switch in Summer 2018. Spike Chunsoft will probably bring something like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon to the Switch. FromSoftware will be an interesting one, as the studio doesn't really have a history with Nintendo systems. The others you name already have released games on the Switch, and in case of Bamco, even announced some projects that are very likely to be brand new games (Tales and Taiko) rather than late ports.

I'm pretty sure almost all Japanese development houses will develop something for Switch. The big question is whether the high profile projects will release on Switch alongside PS4(/PC/X1). There are quite some games announced for PS4 only right now, while many UE4 projects, such as Code Vein, are still skipping Switch. I hope this will change sometime in 2018.
I wonder what’s the point of From Software being on the partner list lol?I don’t think they will release any game for the console

For some reason, they go from 6 bars, to 5, 3, 2 and 1. I havnt noticed before that theres no icon with 4 bars. If you look at the bottom of the Famitsu sales ranking page, it says how many percentages the icons represents.

Yeah as I suspected.
Pretty sure I noticed that a few years ago as well, very bad way to display the info as in that context the bar has no sense at all in the end, or rather it changes depending on how much there are...

Well not the first and probably not the last time that Japan sux at UI/UX on websites :p

There are people from all countries capable of making poor UI design choices.

There are people from all countries capable of making poor UI design choices.

I'm well aware.
Though on on a notable amount of products (even mass market ones) it does seem to me that Japan is a step "below" or rather that it's not as big of a concern.
It could also be due to cultural differences which make consumers less demanding on that front but coming from a western culture I'd say there's a notable difference here.

When I thought Tharja was in:

People have been fantasizing about FEW for almost a decade now. Only Nintendo could fuck this up. And I trust they won't especially after the success of Hyrule Warriors. They know what they are doing.

Fire Emblem is also at its peak in terms of popularity and brand awareness.

Don't look too much into the recent Musou bombas. They didn't carry Nintendo's name or hype.

:lol

Oh wow.

The first Switch bomba for SURE. But even so we can't blame Switch, it's all Nintendo/Koei's fault. The game should be easy to make and a sure fire hit, they fucked up. Bunch of fuckers, I tell you.

FEW feels weird.

So far I have bought every big Switch release (and several smaller ones) I have bought 15 physical games brand new and at full price.

I also bought almost every Fire Emblem game and consider myself a fan of the series.

Don't play Musou much but enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and a few of the anime spin off games.

I should be exactly the target for this game. Yet I skipped it.

I am not sure exactly what was so unappealing about this game but it just never moved me. Never got excited during the trailers. Character selection didn't excite me.

Maybe its the letdown because I wanted a new SRPG entry so much. Maybe I'm just burned out on Musou. Really not sure. But I bet there are others like me.

Sleep on Rem's lap, sleep on Emilia's lap.

Re: Zero -Life in Another World in VR- is now available for PC via DLsite.com in Japan, publisher Gugenka announced. It supports both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

The PC version is available in two bundles, each costing 2,160 yen:

Re: Zero -Life in Another World in VR- with Rem – Lap-Sleeping and Co-Sleeping Bundle (DLsite page)

Re: Zero -Life in Another World in VR- with Emilia – Lap-Sleeping and Co-Sleeping Bundle (DLsite page)

A Steam release will follow alongside the PlayStation VR version in Japan this winter in the same two bundles. A specific release date has yet to be announced.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Probably something like World of Tanks or Warframe would be my guess...but yeah i think there are a bunch of projects that are being considered for Switch, but cant move forward until Nintendo has launched their online platform.

They really need to finalize their online specs right now.

They are bringing Arena of Valor over on the Switch, so it should rule them out.

PSO2 is coming to Switch too and I expect that to use a separate Sega login so that might rule out 'separate' company logins (same as AoV)

I'm thinking it could be Nexon.

We don't know the western sales.

Right, no LTD Xenoblade Chronicles X ww sales but we have some figures for the launch:

US: over 200.000 copies for December 2015 (NPD)
http://nintendoeverything.com/decem...-x-and-devils-third-sales-ltd-wii-u3ds-games/

UK: "Wii U exclusive ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X’ debuts at No28 with sales up 73% on the launch week of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, which released on the Wii in 2011."
http://www.chart-track.co.uk/?i=2294&s=1111
~ 10.000 for the first week (between 9.500/11.400 from oscar Lemaire)

France:
"Xenoblade Chronicles X has already sold over 40 000 units in France (in less than two weeks). "

Yes, the more notable thing about Arena of Valor it's that it's the only F2P for Switch.

At the end of the day I'm very curious to see what that will be. Will it have crossplay with the mobile version in Europe or just be its own thing. Crossplay with the Chinese version still seems out of the question if only because the sets of heroes and infrastructure are completely different, so it'll be interesting to see what its playerbase ends up with.
