Sawamura is still on fire but so is everyone else. I still wish some of this good stuff would come to Kanemaru. Maybe he should learn from Sawamura and use his hips more (never gets old).

It depends on the writer, but generally I doubt that it's trying to pander to women. Being reincarnated as a woman is just another facet of escapism that has multiple possible reasons as to their appeal, but can moslty be summed up as "becoming what you desire".
Of course, some works may actually explain what "becoming a woman" actually entails to, but they're, like most fiction with realistic characterization, relatively rare.
Well, if you ever feel the mood for something more risqué, my list isn't going anywhere!

Looking forward to Luffy making an entrance. Seems he doesn't take the thing seriously after making sure where Sanji stands, so he's totally unpredictable by now. Can't really imagine him doing everything according to plan there.

I don't really know how the matches work, which is the problem. On a basic level it would be fucking stupid if Soma beats Kinokuni in a one-on-one in her specialty. But it depends how this is structured - are you eliminated by losing your one-on-one, or does your team of 3 get eliminated if you lose 2-out-3? Because if its the latter, the most plausible outcome is Soma loses and Isshiki/Megashima win.

Yeah, I gotta wonder how much of this is Asano or a character. Hell the author's office is exactly the same as Asano's. It's probably for the sake of convenience since he uses photographs and Photoshop to make those realistic backgrounds everyone praises, but it's interesting to see that being rendered on the page.

I don't really have a problem with the 'amazing high school student' trope for now as long as we're going to branch out as the series goes on. It makes sense that they wouldn't have strayed too far because of the girl but going forward will be a bit different.

I think the reason why Soma works and why we can often deal with shitty arcs and still keep coming back is that it takes the piss out of itself so often that you can't help but like how earnestly it goes "This is really dumb" and then just is really dumb.
Like her whole speech about beating him no matter what and then he fucking picks Udon out at random and everyone's reaction is just like "Are you fucking serious?" and she feels embarrassed now cause she said all that shit earnestly. That was hilarious.

I mean, the biggest reason is that all of the characters are good and likable and them doing almost anything can be entertaining.
