I wish 90% of the free albums weren't Dance or house music or whatever the kids are calling it these days. What's wrong with offering a nice Foghat album for free every once in a while.

I would imagine its harder to get a promo rate on bands that aren't around anymore

Really, they haven't been. Dance/house has been a small part of the freebies since Google started.

Heads up: Google is sending out free codes for Gravity if you enabled receipt of promo messages when you signed in for Google Play.

Seems to be world wide, as I got the email on multiple region accounts.

If you didn't get Gravity via a device promo, you should be able to get it now.

i know this is the google play freebies, but there's some good sampler albums and stuff on Amazon. Occasionally it seems like random stuff becomes free and then disappears, and its really hard to tell what you may already have once you get it.

but here's a link to the free music by album. they have a list of free music by tracks, but there's a lot of duplicates in there that you would get on these albums. There's a lot of great stuff here, i think about 15% of my music collection is from here:

Nope. If someone wants to start up an EU thread and maintain the OP, please do so. I'm US based, so it's a lot easier to keep track of the US stuff for me (mostly verifying what is still free and what is expired).
