Final Fantasy's XV March Update To Add New Cutscenes In Ch.13 For Ravus and Aldercapt

Spoiler Warning For End Game

So going back to Final Fantasy XV, talk a little bit about the process of Chapter 13, and what’s going on with that.

So there is an update planned for this month that includes enhancements to chapter 13.
So before, obviously, it was just Noctis by himself, kind of alone without the powers of his weapon summoning abilities. But what we’ve done for chapter 13, is we’ve added a separate route for Gladio and Ignis after they get split off from Noctis, so you actually get to play as Gladio, and see what happened from their side of things until they reunited with Noctis. You’ll see some additional cutscenes [that] just show you what took place while Noctis was kind of on his own. You’ll get some actual gameplay with the party of Gladio and Ignis together. You’ll see what happened to Emperor Aldercapt and Revis, and where they ended up being during the whole time.
These are just the supplementary scenes that were added into chapter 13, and that’s just for chapter 13.
But aside from that, we’re overhauling the ring magic, so the three spells that you could use with the Ring of the Lucii, those are completely powerful now, like super powerful now.
So those are some other things to look forward to.

Wow, this seems to completely transform Chapter 13 with the addition of new content.

I for one, am glad they are willing to fix the game as I did enjoy my time with it, despite its flaws :)

I welcome this with open arms

Too late, finished the game on Saturday. Weakest FF i've ever played. I actually went back and watched kingsglaive because I was sure i must have missed what happened to the imperial leader dude. Going by the OP it seems his demise wasn't even in the game.

I was hoping they would add more to chapter 9 onwards to make it coherent. I actually dropped right after the beginning of 13 after yet another confusing plot gap appeared on top of the ones from the previous couple of chapters.

Man, I'm still bitter sorry. Will see if they go further and keep an open mind. Looking forward to Stormblood though.

So now, all they need to do fix all the other chapters from 4 to the end. The game has a few good key moments, but overall, the story is quite weak.

And here I thought the ring was already OP. I can't wait to try it out again. Hopefully the enhancements carry over to when you can use it in the main overworld.

If the Gladio/Iggy gameplay is an escort mission then fuuuuck thaaat shiiiiit

Iggy is

Their probably increasing speed, and a bit of potency.

Iedolas is the one who turns into that annoying monster that stalks you in ch13. Then you kill him and he says some line about taking over the world. Or actually maybe that was Verstael, I can't remember. Either way they were both fucking wasted.

Square: This chapter is hated by everyone
Square: Let's make it an escort mission, that will surely fix it

Genius!

You should spoiler tag it.

Anyways,
he was featured in the game as the demon that haunts Noctis and has to be killed at the end of Chapter.

I'll wait for the complete package, too busy with other games at the moment.

Anyway, I think changing story bits in a single player game is stupid. No way I'm going to replay the game for that, will probably just youtube it.

I'll enjoy this when I play through the game again on the eventual PC rerelease, but I'm not gonna stick this back in my PS4 just to replay ch 13.

Yeah it was Iedolas, not Verstael. I expect Verstael to be used in the Prompto DLC.

Also, I doubt the Gladiolus section will be an escort mission. Ignis is a capable party member after the Swamp section.

But after you reunite with them Iggy is still useless and the others still yell at you for running too far ahead :/ He only gits gud again in chapter 14.

Gladio gameplay
could help break up the tedium a bit. Starting just before Noctis
finds Ravus
might work.

I was thinking the same thing too. Have them switch to Gladiolus right there since it's essentially the half-way point for the chapter.

Really? I was sprinting around at the end and never got the comment. I assumed he was good to go after the Marlboro section when they go "Ignis has returned to the fight" and they give him the new Assist Move. Either way I'm optimistic. I refuse to believe they would add more boring slow content to an already slow chapter. A more action oriented part with Gladio put in the middle of Ch. 13 would be a great shot in the arm for it.

Actually... i don't think gladio or prompto yell at you for going too far ahead in chapter 13 or any time beyond the
malboro
dungeon

Still haven't finished this game due to the update and with the games coming out soon maybe I never will. Well there's always the summer drought

They need the add in the ability to summon more often...Maybe not in boss fights, but otherwise. It is no fun not being able to use them more often. Like as much as I think their implimentation is interesting, it is not entirely satisfying, especially when you want to feel super powerful...
