Last time I checked the eShop, the game requires around 5.9 GB.

Edit: OP update with 5.2 GB, I guess that's more accurate.

If anything the game will be available for a midnight release in certain locations. I checked Best Buy's site to see if the one close to me would be participating but it shows their regular schedule. I'm going to have to call in tomorrow to see what's up but you should definitely do the same if want it earlier than in the opening/middle of the day.
