JUMP showed a part of a scan of Chrono Trigger DS, not sure if its a port or a remake. Coming winter 2008!!!! Hope its not fake.

Added content please. Screw a straight port, I've played this game so many times over the years. They could easily add a new dungeon that accessible when you have full control over Epoc or something but there's an issue of new art assets melding with the original game. But whatever!

No, the reason why the topic would get a lot of posts would be the kind of game (if it was true).

Scenario 1: 3D DS remake
Typical Response: OMG, Crappy 3D DS graphics (which is true)

Scenario 2: SNES port of Chrono Trigger
Typical Response: Lazy ass square

Scenario 3: DS remake using 2D Sprites
Typical Response: None (because it is not happening)
