Got interviewed by Dubai Sports TV when I was out drinking last night. I told them I hoped that Netherlands would win but a Spain win was more probable. I also told them van Bommel was my favorite player because he's from Limburg. Haha

This Spain side are practically Barcelona. Not just that the team is dominated by players from the Catalan club, but also in the style they play. Whoever wins, Cruyff wins, because Spain play in the system he created. If Messi had chosen to play for Spain they'd be pretty much invincible.

But anyway, football wins with NETHERLANDS and SPAIN playing :)

BTW, just listened to a journalist from netherlands and he said the only one not going for the team there was Cruyff :D He seems to be as weird as he is in Barcelona :D

I sincerely hope the Spanish don't win this. Not just because of my allegiance to the Men in Orange, but also because of the inevitable insult to injury of the Spanish government begging the NL and German governments for a Greek-style bail out within six months of the WC ending.

there's has been a bit of discussion here because of the money Spanish players will earn in case they fin the cup. It is a bit too much with the economy in such a difficult situation. Buuuuuuuuut, i read somwhere that the counntry that wins de WC has +0.8 PIB growth (GDP i guess in english) wich would be really welcome here
