Yeah. But seeing as how there are tiles everywhere I don't think they'd look very good unless they were over and under the tiles. The themes on PS3 worked so well because there is just the XMB and that's it.

Actually I would bet it changes based on the content section you are in. Or like when you hover the bing tab and it shows art.

That's a bummer, was hoping for more customization than just the tiles. Was hoping to create a home screen similar to this. The green in that video fits Xbox much better than the current plain black background.

It would be nice if they did allow these things... but considering they removed any little bit of customization that was on the 360, I'm not surprised.

Another Xbox bashing thread. It looks just like the Windows Phones.
If the PS3 is any indication, the UI will be fully customizable with themes, custom icons, UI colours, (dynamic) backgrounds, etcetera.
Can't imagine they'll backtrack on those options with the PS4.

It'd just work like Windows 8.1 I presume? I'd be pretty happy with that, although Microsoft likely won't allow photos to be used as a background. XMB themes were great to me because of the animation that was often well done and the fact that the icons could be adjusted to fit the theme. There are some really cool ones out there. Suppose one can't do a similar thing with the One but we will see.
