Gutted if true.

According to the video below GTAV XONE and PS4 was at Gamescom but ONLY shown to retailers 'behind closed doors' and not to journalists.

There was plenty of chatter of a next-gen slip of GTA 5 at gamescom. We were told Rockstar did have the new versions at the show, but it was only being seen by retailers.

Of particular note was the absence of the game from Sony's press conference, despite it being a big feature of the E3 equivalent.

We've also seen no marketing or PR news out of Rockstar, despite the fact that the game should - if it remains on track - be out in a couple of months.

Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick told MCV at the time that any delay would be a result of quality control:

"We really are driven by our passion for the business,” he told MCV. “I know it sounds hard to believe from capitalists, which we also are, but what keeps us up at night and gets us here early in the morning and makes us excited, is that we pride ourselves on making the best interactive entertainment in the business."
Either way, we won't know for sure until Rockstar make a decision and a statement, or the game actually comes out.

Is this the GTA 5 rumor of the day? No wait, we already had one today, the PC version was supposed to be cancelled.

I'll wait till we get some kind of proper announcement, but since we haven't seen anything since the trailer, this wouldn't surprise me

Wouldn't be surprised. As much as I NEED this game in 2014 (sadly, the only game I'm actually excited for on these consoles this winter besides Smash Bros)....it sounded like the amount of work they were putting in making this version, would push it past the 2014 date.

This is the same website that expected Nintendo of Americo to hold a SmashDirect today; please.

There is no valid source yet other than "chatter from Gamescom"; the only thing that would speak for a 2015 release is Rockstar's current marketing output.

I waited years for GTA 5 to be confirmed on PC, I can wait a bit longer.
I have high hopes for the PC version.

The next Saint's Row will be out on PC before GTA5 at this point.

Which is fine, since I had more fun with SR4 than GTA5.

wasn't the point of this to fill a gap and make money because all the "real" next gen games got delayed til 2015?

I had a sinking feeling about this. We've heard nothing since E3, and usually Rockstar takes their time releasing new info. but we are right up on September already, and not one screenshot, trailer, etc.
