This reads like a fanboy wrote it man,
I choose whatever console provides me with the best exclusives and other features. That is yet to be seen by both.
I feel the same way about infamous. I dunno. I feel like there is no big maknstream game this year. Hope destiny can be it though. Seems really interesting.
I feel bad for Respawn. EA has pretty much dicked them over.
And it would be better for the industry as a whole. At least if you like the AAA industry that creates games because people buy them at high ASP made for consoles as a baseline specs. No matter what they have said in the past, if the numbers are accurate, they will drop Kinect. I could not see another way to boost sales.
Maybe because the 360 was severely supply-constrained during that period. Wow, MS PR is in spin overdrive right now.Comparatively, Xbox One consoles have sold at a rate of 2.29 times faster than Xbox 360 in the U.S. in the same timeframe for the first three months on the market.
I expect little from infamous or Titanfall.I feel the same way about infamous. I dunno. I feel like there is no big maknstream game this year. Hope destiny can be it though. Seems really interesting.
I love this. All these inane numbers yet hardware figures are conspicuously absent.
I'm having a vertigo attack right now. "Speach commands" #truthfact is killing me.

During the month of January, Xbox* held five of the top 10 spots on the console game title list in the U.S.: Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts (Xbox 360 and Xbox One), Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft. Gamers love Xbox and our community has never been more vibrant on the industry-leading Xbox Live service. Since launch, over 2.6 billion global Gamerscore has been achieved, 165 million global achievements have been unlocked and 130 million global Game DVR clips have been uploaded.
*Across Xbox One and Xbox 360
To offset a PS3 and PS4 release, probably around 200 million give or take. EA would presumably be projecting in the neighborhood of 6 or 7 million at ~$30 return per unit. Come to think of it, they'd also have to account for DLC, so potentially up to 250-300 million.
Nice pr spin from microsoft but everybody can read the fine print:
possibly typo on purpose? some people only read headlines and just skim the rest
Not yet. They will ride this generation through.
It's next generation you should watch to see what happens. IF this trend continues. It's still early yet, so we should all have some perspective on that score. Anything could happen after a price cut and some killer apps... PS3 managed to even out with Xbox 360 by the end of the gen. Of course PS3 actually sold in many territories around the world instead of just a few, but Xbox One could still conceivably carve out a decent niche in North America.
No matter what they have said in the past, if the numbers are accurate, they will drop Kinect. I could not see another way to boost sales.
Headline: "Xbox One Leads US Game Sales in January"
PR text:
Am I missing something?
685 MILLION speech commands, dude!*People should check the link on the OP. Dear Lord! It makes my head spin!
EA: I've made a huge mistake.
I await my ambassador game.
Microsoft consistently has the most godawful exclusives in the industry apart from halo, and now even that series is mediocre. Considering that it also runs every multiplat worse than the ps4 due to spec differences, there's no reason to buy an an xbone if you arent interested in the multimedia features.
And that is a horible position to be in for MS. You can't make a system that isnt suited for people with gaming as their highest priority and expect those same people to support you at launch.
So why have MS launched only in 13 countries and stuffed the US full of boxes people don't want, while Sony have launched in 35+ countries and are still outselling them? Both seem to have similar production capacity based on launch. Are Sony just better at retail channel management - not something MS have a huge amount of experience in other than PC accessories and Xbox?
