The Xbox One February System Update is starting to roll out. Details on my blog

to get update:

make sure auto updates are on in settings

turn off xbox one for 5-10 minutes

look for flashing white xbox logo on the console

turn on xbox one

green loading bar indicates it is installing

As I noted in my blog post about the December system update, we’ve changed the way these work on Xbox One to reduce the impact on our customers.

For the vast majority of Xbox One owners who use “Instant On” (the low power state that allows you to instantly power up your console by saying “Xbox On”), the console automatically checks for updates when customers turn it off. This means now that we’ve made the February update available, the next time you turn your console off it will take the update during off-peak hours in your local time. All that to say, never fear you’ll see it sometime over the weekend.

As a reminder, here are some of the features you’ll see in this update:

- The ability to see and manage your storage space: With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We’ve separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we’ve added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.
- The battery power indicator is back! You can see it right on the home screen, so you can easily track how much battery life is left on your controller.
- And, you will be able to use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One.

Here's two pics of the new "My games & apps" section.

Apologies for the horrible 1970s camera quality.

Megaton? You can apparently delete your save file now!

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
I still can't believe that they didn't have a way to view or edit the storage. What the flying fuck?

So basically you can't force download it? You need to turn off your console and hope it will download it at some point over the week-end?

Bout time. Not having the battery indicator and not being able to see the storage space was an oversight and pretty annoying. Glad it will be in there now.

Awesome. Hopefully it goes out to those of us not at home with the system on standby so when I get home it's already downloaded.

shit gets cut to make ship date. Nobody presumably managed to fill up their disk in the 2 months since launch

Don't we know that people did fill it up and games that were played the farthest back got deleted to make room for the new one? Without the user's confirmation?

No I think it informs you when it happens and recommends what to delete or something like that. I don't have experience with it. EIther way, it shouldn't be an issue now, and was only an issue for people who bought most of the entire launch window catalog.

Where did you read this?

Saw it on The Verge:

Update: According to a Microsoft spokesperson, the controller tweak will be part of the February update to the Xbox One, and will automatically take effect when an Xbox One controller syncs with the console. Specifically, it will "increase the sensitivity of the outer boundaries of the thumbsticks on the Xbox One controller."

Could have used the fuckin battery indicator on my first Titanfall match, went into my first battle and boom things dead. Lol.
