Titanfall Beta (PC/Xbone) Impressions (No Key Begging/Trading or I will ban you!)

anyone have any tips for performance on a gtx 570 / i5-2500k / 8gb of ram?

the textures being on medium is killing me because it makes everything so muddled and shitty looking :<

Gah. Of course the servers have collapsed once they opened the floodgates. But that's the point of a beta, I suppose.

And thats what they said during the Diablo 3 BETA and such.

There is a 90% chance this same thing occurs once the game launches and you have millions jumping on all at once. I just did not expect it during an invite only BETA. They must have sent out a ton of invites just to stress test.

Looks like its trying to come back online (Xbox One) still getting no servers but its doing different things to the point where it almost connects

Props to the Origin download servers though, my download this morning topped out at a staggering 65mb/s. It was holding steady at 60-63 until it finished.

I usually get 6-7mb/s from Steam - basically never anything higher, my peak there's been about 30mb/s, but wasn't ever constant at a speed like that. I use Origin far, far less, though do average closer to 8mb/s for Battlefield downloads with it.

well bedtime for me...here's to hoping at around 7:30pm eastern tomorrow the servers are actually working...

what a let down so far (yes i get beta and all that, but after a rough day at work i was looking forward to this; i have not played as of yet)

I restarted Origin and I had a client update. (73 MB)

I then forced Titanfall to update, and it found one which was extremely small.

Testing now.

UPDATE: Did nothing. =(

I really think the queue system is the best way to go with overloaded servers. Atleast then you can see how long you are likely going to wait before playing and don't have to sit by the comp waiting and hitting Retry over and over or watching it automatically retry over and over.

Can't remember the last game that had the queue system though lol. It has been awhile.

I'm getting a lot of "attempting connection" messages but nothing seems to be coming of it. At the very least it seems like they might be starting to come back up. This is on XB1 by the way.

Doesn't Battlefield have a queue system? Anyways looking forward to more impressions from the folks that got in. :)
