For now my biggest complain is hip fire spread with that default rifle C101 or something.
I think it is too big, sometimes enemy is 2-3m from me and I have him in the middle of croshair and nothing happenes, zero bullets connects. But he has no problems to kill me with some auto aim pistol.

I'm rocking a 680 too, zeliard. I'll try those settings out.

Guarantee I'm going to screw up this post? Yeah.
I signed up for the PC beta and they sent me an Xbox-One key instead, lucky me (I don't own a One).

The Titan feels like a killstreak, and it feels like there could be other things in place of it. The gunship or helicopter could be something.

I don't know, it just feels repetitive. It feels like there's almost too many titans on the field.

How are people liking Last Titan Standing? I queue for the Beta Variety Pack so I get a bunch of modes but I really like Last Titan Standing. It feels awesome and my titan movement got a lot better after a few rounds playing that, translating well into the other modes. I still have trouble scouting out pilots that are locked on to me even though I'm staring straight in their direction, but I guess that's just a practice thing.

Last Titan Standing is fun with people who communicate. Not fun with randoms who don't know wtf they're doing. Last pub team I played it with 4 of them had chainguns, sigh.

Its not my fault even hip firing the smart pistol its more accurate than the assault rifle. Same with the smg. You got to learn to dance to attend the ball.

It is not satisfying in any way to eat the dots in Pac-Man yet it's a core element of the game.

While I'm sure you think you're a genius for coming up with that comparison it's not really an apt one is it.

Actually engaging with players is great, mindlessly slaughtering AI that barely tries to fight back isn't. Out thinking and out aiming another player is what makes the game worth playing but the AI just feels surplus to the whole thing. I'm aware that it's how it's meant to be designed and I'm able to deal with that but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

As someone who is tired of what CoD has become but still enjoys BF4, I can say I'm not all that impressed. I'll still buy it to play with friends but I highly doubt this is going to be the "next big thing" for me.

My feelings exactly. Its nice, but its not amazing. I think it will take me a few more goes to get used to it.

But still, a great effort for a new IP.

There is not that much to learn with that pistol :p
I am using smg when I want to play more agressive and on shorter distances but sometimes when I play with rifle it's really annoying when I met someone up close.

Its amazing for killing pilots. You let 1-2 shots lock on and then you hipfire the rest manually. If you go head on you got to learn to dodge but you can still get the job done just hipfire spraying.

Please just let me keep thinking I'm actually good at an FPS and my weapon of choice is not OP.

lol.

Smart pistol seems like something that may become less an issue over time as players develop map awareness, but yeah, for now it's trivial to get the jump on groups (of either minions or pilots) and just insta-kill them all with ease while cloaked. I actually stopped using the smart pistol because it just felt cheap and unrewarding.

I think it is perfectly apt. I pick a route through the map, killing grunts as I go, watching out for players, just like I play pac-man. Pick a route, run it. Heck, same way I played just about every multiplayer Quake or game based upon Quake. Run the routes, pick up the power-ups, fight players as I encounter them.

Be thankful these aren't crates or exploding barrels.

I'm not sure how you expect to engage players non-stop. Perhaps you want maps that are just one room? Maybe they'll have some. ;) If the grunts weren't there it doesn't magically mean there would be players there.

I can understand you not liking it. It isn't their lack of AI that is the problem, though. If they had great AI you'd be pissed that every time you engaged the bots an enemy pilot ran up behind you and snapped your neck.

I've been using stim, have barely touched the cloak.

Have they said if there are more weapons in the final version? It would be nice if there were more than just the 4 we have right now.

It will fall off for sure, other weapons outclass it in so many ways. I hope respawn give it time before instantly hearing the cries and nerfing it in any way.

I love keeping my mech on follow mode, because I like the mobility that comes from being a grunt and just the relative lack of attention I draw. It's neat having a huge target there to distract enemies while I sneaky sneak. :D

Cloak isn't much of a cloak. Even someone crouched motionless in a corner is fairly easy to pick out. I think it works a little better on some backgrounds than others, but for the most part it doesn't seem terribly effective.

There's nothing more gratifying in this game than:

Doing a wall run, double jump and then killing some dude from the air

Wall run, rodeo onto Titan and destroy it

Disembarking and killing that random dude that's rodeoing your Titan (alternatively killing someone that's on your teammate's titan)

Best way to counter the Smart Pistol: Shotgun to the face.

Works every time.

ed: I'm starting to really like this game now. Got used to the wall running and jetpack, reminds me of Section 8: Prejudice. Good stuff.

My favorite kill so far was dropping a Titan of my persuer.

And is so cool to jump on Titan rivals after you had to eject from your one.

Also cloak + parkour enhanced + Shotgun + Angel City = Beasting

I really shine there.

If you're not very good piloting them?

Sure.

I turned a bunch of stuff down so I can get that sweet, sweet 120fps :p

I've managed to get it so it's pretty steady 120 at all times, with a 680/i5 2500k.

Might try it with my 144Hz monitor later, I've only been gaming on my 60Hz so far

I ahve a 780Ti and i7-4770k too so I should be able to power my way to 144

It all depends. I do get inside mechs plenty because their offensive power is just devastating and they can have decent mobility with dashes, but keeping them on follow or guard mode at times can be very effective.

Cloaks are only to fool the titan's vision it's not to be used against other humans. It says that on the description for it

Humans can see cloaked characters really easily.

Has anyone managed to get it playable on a Intel HD 4000 or 4600? I just want to see if it is playable or not.

The game works but has hilarious graphical glitches on these integrated GPUs.

Agreed. The parkour is what separates the amateurs from the pros. I love it!

figures EA would screw this up, If I can't get a simple beta code for the correct platform. How can I expect the launch to be smooth? :(

So what is everyone's opinions on Titan loadouts? Which primary weapon and which abilities?

I personally stick with the chaingun and shield, nuclear detination as a perk.
