I would agree but you know, it's MGS. All of them had demos and most MGS fans have to buy it for their Snake addiction.

Makes sense that battlefield 4 is up there, I just checked bf4stats.com and the ps4 dominance is on another level right now.
I know its traditionally a PlayStation franchise, but outdoing PC at this time of the day is impressive since Europe (I think) is in full swing.

Not really surprising. Many people on PC are having that sound loop crash bug that came back with Second Assault and there's no fix yet (not sure if PS4 has it).
BTW, do most people in Japan even buy their games from Amazon or retail?

Lol at the first place. Not only a full priced demo takes the first place,but a full price in Japan is also a lot higher than in any other region.

Yeesh why are we the ones getting screwed on price? Is Kojima exacting revenge for all the times Japanese games have been grossly overpriced?
Definitive Edition in this case is a budget release over in Japan unlike other territories, retailing for about half of the original Tomb Raider's launch price over there.

If you actually knew anything about the series, then you would know that it never had that large of a following as the game is fairly complex and requires a lot of time to play. Not to mention the high price is another reason it keeps the more casual users away.
Its still a niche title, but with its existing userbase there is a strong following even if as stated before its not that large.
Also folks who had already bought the PS3 version which came out ahead of time can upgrade to the PS4 version.

It depends on the time of the day - if the local time is set properly on my profile on this forum, that was posted at about 9-10pm yesterday in Europe, probably where it starts dropping off for PC (and PlayStation to a lesser extent).
It's midday (12:15 - 13:15) Sunday now Europe (GMT + CET) - It's not peak time, but I may check in again at 6 - 8pm just out of curiosity.
You see the difference not only in the PC stats but the PlayStation (more popular in Europe) ones too compared to the Xbox (more popular in NA).
A portion of it - not the entire game. I'm fairly sure the lead is still in Japan.
I think the new LA studio is more focused on the multiplayer aspect of Phantom Pain, but MGSV was primarily made in Japan.

As a GAFfer in Japan, I know firsthand the awesome teamwork of good Japanese squads in BF3. They'll be just as coordinated in BF4. Maybe I'll get a decent Commander now.

Heh, I suppose we'll see how Toukiden does in sales to warrant a sequel.
It's an expansion pack (but it includes the vanilla release of DW8) to a DW game that already released on the PS3 a year ago, not to mention the expansion pack itself (Xtreme Legends) released on PS3 and Vita back in November.
Most likely would be a different situation if this was a next generation exclusive DW9 or something for the PS4.

I don't think that's accurate. Didn't you post the hourly updated list? You should check the best selling 2014 games and then pick the PS4 games out of it.
