any tips for Armor and Weapon upgrades? It seems pretty expensive! I keep getting ??? for some of my options. and getting that shopkeeper unlock.
and is there a guide or something to quickly level my relationship with the AI? some of them are still stuck at Friend whereas I'm like Kindred Spirit with Tatara... lol
I'm at Chapter 3 and still only using Steel Bite and Azure Armor set with Regulation Helm.

Talk to them everytime before you do a quest. Yamato and Shushui must be grinded by this way. Tedious yes, but Yamato grants 90% Mitama finding chance while Shushui I forget what it is but they said it's something great.
Tell me you mean "mission", because I only have two quests left and those two don't quite love me yet

Ah OK guys in patch 1.01 you can fortify armor and weapons in the online hall. Didn't notice this yet.

Great, ANOTHER game I absolutely have to buy. My wallet is squirming on the floor, but man, the Vita is an absolute dream machine for mission-based action RPGs.
Now I have:

Soul Sacrifice
Dissidia Duodecim
+Toukiden on its way
+maybe God Eater 2 via PSN later on. (Maybe I´ll even get MHFU from PSN, having a second stick that I can just map to the dpad should makes this a whole lot more playable.)
Any other titles in this style I´m missing?

You could always do this, at least in the English version. If you're getting the patch notes from the Japanese version, what we got at launch was obviously not the same as their 1.0 version.

will bringing them to battles help raise the level too?
Because I brought Hayatori to every battle since meeting him but still friend zoned.

Right but the corruption bug was left in.

DMZ'd my vita and everything, and still getting the not all party members are ready issue.
Other than that, loving it! Did a lot of Cerb today, and Cerb+Chthonian. I got a golden skull off him, so i can do my upgrades!! So happy !!

No worries. I quit out since these two Oni hunts are tiring me out. Takes way too long with NPCs D:Sorry ramyeon, I forgot to put my portable router on charge and it died midway
At least we bring Ibuki and Nagi and not ended up soloing. I gotta go though, my friend bugging me to have dinner.

What I meant by that was upgrading an equipment to something new with materials. I had no idea it is possible up until now ://///
Not Fortify, but upgrade. Some weapons and armor let you upgrade them into a superior/different stage, provided you've obtained the materials to do so.
Also, when upgrades are available, there's no need to continue fortifying as it won't have any effect on the new item.(I think "forging" requires it be fortified, though. I haven't reached that yet x.x)
ah ok, yea. doesn't need to be +9 to upgrade though and the fortification will reset upon creating a new weapon/armor.

Kind of but a bit slower.
Edit: I'd say water. He does lightning/paralysis damage. Hm in SS he was weak against stone, so maybe earth?

Chacha skills is just too goddamned good even at this setup to deal massive damage with eruption. I'm having a hard time what to choose for her passive skills now.
Cerberus alone is pretty doable with NPC. But his teamup mission with Cthonian fiend can only be done with a group of friends.

Cerberus + Chtonian is INTENSE. I don't know how bad it will be with AIs, holy crap.

In a very interesting turn of events, my very last quest was about... delivering 99 soil. And I had to go out and farm imps because I didn't have it, even though at some point in the demo I had three stacks of 99.
So yeah, don't sell your soil.
All quests done and Yamato/Shusui still don't like me, talking to them didn't change much so far. I really hope it's not something missable.

Keep talking to them and having a bath together. It increases the relationship.
Kindred spirits, unbreakable bonds.
And yeah, I didn't use the pool enough I guess. Gonna try that.
Nah, I don't think it's missable. If he finished all the quest and yet haven't maxed their affinity, how the hell then we supposed to do then?
Is kindred spirit just below unbreakable bonds?
It's not, but for the NPCs that you can't take on missions, it will require some quality pool time to bolster their bonds.
In case someone was wondering, this is how you can tell how close you are to the maximum bond, Soulmate:

Jealous of you guys who are on phase 6+.
I'm still at phase 5 lol. Granted, I did finish every SP missions and MP missions from phase 1-5.

Took me 20 tries to get a Talisman by sending my Tenko to Grace. Gotta be patient.
I still don't seem to understand the forge. I'm trying to make the purification bow and it's telling me that I don't have the correct amount of materials when in fact I have a +9 Amenokako bow, a level 10 Amakusa Shiro, and the money. Yet it still shows a question mark on the bow picture. Any idea what's up?
