I have been working on my item database to make it more useful.

Damnit, that Daibo has already been nerfed compared to earlier leaks back before / during the closed Beta. Used to remove the cooldown outright, now apparently only 50% reduction at most.

Hmm. I do wonder how that fares when stacking CDR from other resources. Say you get a bad roll on the Daibo, that's 45%. Can get 10% from Paragon.
Monk Passive can add another 20%. After that, it's all dependant on gear. So a baseline CDR could be 75-80%. It's not ideal yet.
Standard CD of Seven Sided Strike is 30 seconds, which would leave it at 6 to 7.5 seconds after that. I could pick the lowered cooldown rune, from which it'd be at 17 seconds base CD.

From there, you'd end up at 3.4 to 4.25 seconds CD, depending.

If you could get 15% CDR from gear still, even the standard CD would end up at 90% reduction, and 3 seconds is a good value. I expect I could refresh the 50 spirit you need to cast SSS in less than that, but eh.

Now to wait for RoS and find one of these...

I got all those bows between yesterday and today, all I want is a goddamn TF or thundergod's vigor

You should probably be playing as a Monk if you want a TF with dex. I've cleared over 100 legs easy on my DH and have only maybe gotten 2 or 3 1h weapons. Smart Loot realizes that no sane person wants melee weapons playing as a DH ;)

I just came back to the game due to Loot 2.0, and I am happy that I did. I actually got loot that I could use! My level 60 monk's dps went from 11k to 44k in two hours of play. Although the game is not perfect, it feels a lot better to me.

Exit question: is there a Neogaf clan and/or community in game?

With the new Diamond gem's should I look up for items with resist to all like a requirement?
Because Im having a hard time to get a good item with res to all.

I've been playing around 5 - 10 hours a day since the patch and I haven't found a single set piece, nor a single upgrade (apart from rare bracers/boots and a pair of side-grade legendary pants). I farm T2/3 efficiently, usually in a 2 or 3 man party but I've just had horrible luck. The glass half full part of me is saying I'm saving all my luck for 70, the half empty party is screaming "WHERE ARE MY ITEMS".

I have similar experiences (not quite as bad), and for that reason I'm pacing myself. Don't wanna be burned out before RoS even comes out, especially because those items will be useless almost immediately, anyway. Check yourself, man. It's not worth going crazy for, yet anyway.

All res on gear isn't a requirement. Like if you get a 3 socket chest with an insane main stat roll, vitality and life %... I would take that shit and add 3 diamonds to it. Diamonds on gear are really powerful.

That said All res on gear should always be taken when you have the chance.

Also I got Schaefer and Sky Cutter mixed up...

Man Eye of the Storm is really tempting to get... if I get a really high roll on the elemental damage plus a socket I might take it over my Andy.

Also +elemental damage will actually give you a bigger boost than around 5% more crit chance (unless you have a shit ton of CD) on average. It really is the new trifecta.

If anyone is interested here's a vid of my stun monk in action on Torment IV:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr_tDplnd0I&feature=youtu.be

I since switched weapon gems and have started running Torment V without issue (other than those freakin lightning enchanted elites - seems like that lightning does way too much dmg as I can tank anything else but those melt me in 2 secs, even with 800 AR)

Here's a screenie of in-game stats since the bnet site is borked for displaying stats: Bnet profile, for what it's worth

3.4mil toughness, woohoo. Absorb arcane and immune to frost and immobilizing effect. Super tank with little dps.

It seems very easy to stack toughness but it'll sacrifice a lot to increase my damage...

The best I can do without sacrificing a ton of toughness seems to be 95k dps 2mil toughness with dual wield and a swap of helm.

Hi guys.
Ok I am back to D3, after 4 months lol.
This patch looks very cool, it's like a new game.
One quick questions:
What can I do with my gold before the AH goes out? I have like 400 million.
Buy gear? gems? crafting mats?

This is my warrior:

Cheers mates.
Save your gold my friend.

Everything I hear is that going into RoS with a ton of gold will give you a huge advantage since the Mystic can get very expensive. Also it's much more fun to find awesome upgrades in this patch than buy them.

Unless there are some crafting recipes you really want, I'd just hang onto the gold for mystic crafting costs. RoS craftables use new materials, and the standard gem drop is better than any of the existing gems. Similarly, any gear you can buy is going to be obsolete by the time you hit 70.

Or, if you don't want the gold, sell it on the RMAH. Gold prices have been rising the past few days.

I see! Than I have to check sockets, vit, life %, and the primary stat. And just then the Res to All! :)

About the elemental damage over the crit chance, its good to know too! Ill keep an eye at those stats.

Thanks for the hints!

I would still get All res on chest if I can. Damage mitigation is more important than life. Hell I would even take bonus armor on a chest piece.

Its not a hard fact that you always want particular stats on a piece especially in the case of 2.0.1. Yes you always want main stat but other stats you can make up in other places. A Monk for example never needs All res in gear if he can get the right secondary resistances.

Stop stealing my gear combo :D

I'm also using a Thunderfury right now, along with the three-piece Tal Rasha

Haha, actually! I'm letting my Templar use the Thunderfury XD

But witch other secondary resistances you say (in the case of the monks)? Missile, Melee and Elite Damage reduction?

How I dont have much time to play, I never really tried to understand each attribute to learn how to gear myself really well, since I always go right into the action. So, sometimes these peculiarities get me a little lost.

Secondary resistances as in Poison, Lightning, Fire etc. Those only roll on secondary affix meaning you are free to have 4 good primary affixes.

Monks can stack one secondary resistance and then use OWE to get that number on all of their resistances. They are one of the few classes who can actually use the secondary affixes properly. Also secondary resists roll higher than all res so a Monk stacking exclusively secondaries will have more resists than another Monk just stacking all res. But its hard to do in the current version because of no enchanting.

Traitor!

Speaking of giving followers equipment, I wish the puzzle ring worked with them :(

Yeah. Speaking of followers. I gave my enchantress a new staff that has a chance to charm on hit. I know the proc rate on the followers is extremely low for these types of things, but combine that with her's that she already has. Hands down the best solo follower for me right now. She also has an amy that does a cyclone strike "suck everything into a pile" type proc on ranged attack.

Yeah, that reminds me - need to review the fixed resist rolls on legendaries to see which resist type to go for. I think monks are definitely being balanced around OWE. The higher resist roll and additional primary from the freed up all resist are way too strong to pass up, and there isn't really much competiton for that 4th passive.

So frozen bears is fun. I got that ammy that makes me immune to arcane and boosts cold damage 19%. Another 11% cold on my new bracers. Plays similar to old CoB.

Thundergod Vigor gives like 200 Lightning resistance. Perfect for my Lightning Monk (both offensively and defensively).

Andy gives 200 Poison resistance.

And yea I agree, the fact that one secondary gives you a ton of res and another an excellent legendary proc means you can use the 4 primary stats for offensive stats puts Monks in a very good position gear wise with OWE. Its awkward right now but with enchanting it will be much easier.

15 levels today, better than nothing.

I hate work.

I love GAF.

PEACE!

Apparently there's an annoying Nvidia thing going on with laptops that the game's stuck on integrated graphics even though the setting's on using Nvidia cards.

I've been stuck with 20s fps the whole day now.

The grim Reaper Voodoo mask is really really amazing, the clones cast for free the habilities you have equipped and the proc is about 99% of the time xD.

I have a question about leveling up a lower level character, like a lvl 10.
If I create a torment 1 game and a lvl 60 joins me to kick ass, is the lower lvl characters XP greatly reduced? A few people asked here over the last week but I didn't see any answers.

It wasnt. Some said that leveled up pretty fast like this (at Torment VI). However im not sure if it was nerfed (I think I read it somewhere). Someone could confirm it, because I also want to know.

Frozen orb, never change please. Thank you.

About that....it's gonna get the nerf bat, or at the very least they're going to fix the dps bug with it. Right now it's doing the full DPS (330% or whatever it is) when the orb is traveling and then it does it again when it bursts at the end, so it's basically doing double it's intended damage at the moment. It's been known about for a while, shocked they haven't hotfixed it.
