This doesn't excuse it, but to be fair, a lot of the optional NPC dialogue is pretty decent as far as games go, it's just that the main plot (and particularly, the aforementioned Act 3/Act 4 villain dialogue which almost exclusively consists of "you beat X but you'll never beat Y") dialogue is terrible.
Yeah, I mean, I
like Lyndon because he's a smug bastard and he knows it, and Kormac because he's such an exuberant meathead, and Shen because everybody loves Shen. I even like Zoltun Kulle for being delightfully genre savvy about how nonsensical the plot is and having great delivery. And when the player characters talk to the four* of them they suddenly sparkle with personality that's completely missing in their interactions with anyone else. Someone was really proud of that "You were dead the moment you killed Cain!" line and thought it was super badass because fucking everybody says it and it's awful every time.
And then there's Leah and Adria, both of whom are utterly unlikeable ("ha ha Uncle Deckard and his crazy stories hang on let me shoot this zombie with my secret death magic") and the latter of the two is so blatantly a villain it hurts, and the player even calls Leah out on that fact before we ever meet her! And then it's brushed aside and everyone goes along with everything she says no questions asked until Kulle points out that the whole scenario's awfully contrived and the player blows him off like there's suddenly no reason to be suspicious. WoW has a lot of stupid writing, but at least they draw the line at dumb and don't cross over into insulting.
Enough ranting about things everyone already knows and agrees on, but
christ it's terrible and I don't know how anyone involved with the project signed off on it.
*and Eirena who is written decently but whose voice acting hits the brain like Navi's, with the bluntness of a cold ice pick.
It's not a bug but they claim they will make a pass at trying to upgrade these low level legendary/set items to be made at your level with appropriate stats. When that will happen is anyone's guess given Blizzard's extreme lethargy at such things.
Not bloody likely, not when separate level 70 versions of every pattern already exist.
