No, it's a minor change that will have no long lasting affects. Everyday, people will still que DR by themselves because their FC is busy or they are on at an odd time or a million other reasons. This is quality of life stuff, it changes nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Hmmm. I don't know how to add my other character to my guildwork account. It's got my Sarg Zomba Thirteen and when I click on characters shows it but no option in the settings to add an additional character and that page only lets me choose Zomba Thirteen.

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read in these ff14 threads, and that is no small accomplishment. It was meant to help out the new and low level people get though dungeons that people have no reason to do anymore by giving those people an incentive to do so, and putting them in the groups that needed it most. It seemed to be working well as well.

Most likely will be a new Trophy set, PS3 and PS4 haven't shared a Trophy set yet, so I highly doubt they will start with FFXIV, new BLUS code for PS4, so very hard to keep it PS3 <=> PS4

Just have to repeat the act most likely (so you might have to beat Turn 5 and do a PVP match on PS4 for them to register)
Some people who were PC players and got PS3 version, just did said requirement to PING! Trophies
So if you already mined 1000 times, just go mine one more time, you should get both the bronze for mining once and silver mining 1000 back to back, repeat for all other trophy requirements

I think so, I have no clue how the upgrading is suppose to work
Guesstimation from the info I've found or read:
From my understanding is that you upgrade from PS3 directly to PS4, meaning you will only have PS4 as your account holder, can add in PC if you want, but no more PS3 access at all, no clue if you can repurchase PS3 version again (will the system let you)
If you want PS3 & PS4, you shouldn't upgrade and buy a PS4 version to keep parity and can play on PS3, PS4 and if you want PC version also
I'm gonna try my damnedest to Platinum before PS4 upgrade goes live, I'm almost there, still to go through some more requirements
This is exactly how it works. An entry for the game will show up as both PS3 and PS4 both separate. I upgraded my copy of Battlefield 4 from PS3 to PS4 and now I would have to buy the PS3 version if I ever wanted to get the trophies. You would not be able to go back to PS3 to unlock them however but that being said with FFXIV your account carries with you so I would imagine they would unlock on the PS4. More than half of my trophies were achieved on the PC and I had no problem getting them on the PS3.

Huh? if you upgraded, you can still play BF4 on PS3 and PS4
I have the disc version of PS3, paid the $10 upgrade fee for PS4, need to keep my PS3 disc in PS4 as an activation key
Trophies work in a weird way, you can earn trophies on the PS3 version, do something in the PS4 version and they unlock MP speaking, SP has to be played all over again, but if you unlock something in the PS4 version, they aren't retroactive, you would have to re-earn them on the PS3
So PS3 => PS4, YES!, PS4 => PS3, NOPE!
Even digital works the same way for BF4 PS3 and PS4 if you do $10 upgrades, only way you don't qualify for PS3 trophies is if you never bought the PS3 version or bought the PS4 version only
I rather not take the chance of fucking myself some way after earning these hard trophies, I rather get 100% on PS3 and just transfer over everything to PS4 in tact
I don't want to have any problems arise through SE account management, it's a whole hassle unto itself
I'm 29/39 on the trophies, can really get most of them by the start of 2.2
Get roughly 36/39, then it will be the leves, turn 5, holding me from the Plat

I got the hardest trophy (kinda). The Coil one... I haven't bothered with crafting so maybe those are the hardest for me technically. Or the leves one.

Well the crafting one is easily done if you can force yourself to burn gil + time and quick synthesis the simplest and cheapest item 1000 times
The leve one will be a pain though, I have to figure out how many I have done lol
The materia meldling one is just again waste gil and slot shitty elemental into cheapest npc item, repeat 100 times

I said fuck it and wasted 20K and got the 100 Materia affixed and 1000 CRP trophies
Just kept making maple lumber with quick synthesis and kept slotting materia into cheapest choker with elemental materia (needed 57)
Now I have to work on getting ALC finished, which shouldn't be that bad
Worst will be BSM & ARM, will take me a few day to gather materials and keep making over and over * 2
Then leves and turn 5 (PVP I'll get last lol)

Huh. Free teleports (to one aetheryte, can change at any time) for anyone using a one-time password.
I was already using one, so I've got no problems with this! Certainly a nice incentive to get people to use one.

Costa Del Sol, can use the Ferry to Limsa, also ferry to Aleport, also to other side for Wineport
Eastern Thanalan, button mushroom + gold ore
Mor Dhona
Return is South Shroud, a quick run to ferry into Old Gridania + grab treasure map & sylph daily beastmen tribe
Might put Western La Noscea (Aleport) as the extra free port, cause I'm guessing the Sahagin beastmen will be there, while a quick Western > Upper > Outer La Noscea is where the Kobolds will be, so it works out nicely

That's a nice reward for people using the one time password. I just don't what place I would make a free teleport...there are so many places I could choose, that will be the toughest part.

I am absolutely terrible at SCH, and levelled it pretty much exclusively through dungeon roulette. I admit, my unscientific learning curve from 0 to Titan was something like this:

Sadly I lack such a phone, so I'll have to settle for the token in a week.
I'm pretty experienced at healing, having played MMOs for so long. I'm already ordering the fairy around due to the fact that it doesn't cast spells in the right order!

You would need time cards from your region, which I don't think the EU has right now? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Hardly useless, unless you're sitting on millions of gill. Those 50 free teleports will be nice in 2.2, when you're going everywhere for the new story quests.

What do people spend their gil on? I'm not at endgame yet, (my main class is Lv 30) but I seem to find little need to spend unless I'm teleporting.

There don't seem to be any for either the UK or the USA; I just spent too much time looking for them yesterday.
If you're willing to start afresh with a Japanese account, you can get Japanese 30-day cards for (I think) ¥1575, which is just over £10 or so.

Party queue for Duty Roulette being in 2.3 is disappointing. I'm really looking forward to that.
I've played 100% of my game time with another person and so Duty Roulette has been a completely useless feature for us. I was really looking forward to finally being able to use it for the bonus rewards leveling other classes but it seems it'll be months away for us still.

Yeah, probably. PS4 launch is probably a better time.
I am in a similar boat with spending most of my game time with someone else but we do split up to do the DR on our own. So I won't mind the changes to DR when it gets implemented

Considering purchasing this for PS4, few questions
1. Difference between PS4/PC editions, if any?
2. Whats learning curve like?
3. is it fun?
4. hows it compare to wow?
5. is it £8.99 a month? Worth it?

I can only answer 1, 5 and 6 so:
1) All three versions are the same gameplay wise (though the PS4 you can play with keyboard + mouse, while PS3 you can't). PS3 and lower end PC/Laptops need graphics turned to lowest settings for more graphics heavy content. No idea how the PS4 will handle this but you can see more players on screen with PS4 compared to PS3.
5) £8.99 (per month) for standard, £7.69 (per month) for the entry subscription which gets you 1 character per world for a total of 8 characters.
6) Yes. If you register any of the three, you get free 30 days.
