Mario Kart? Who gives a shit. I know some people are excited...I'm clearly not one of them.

Really? I must have been out of the loop. Will there be a conference?

I believe he said that at last years New York Comic Con when he was showing A Link Between Worlds.

We don't know if there will be a live stage show or another big Nintendo Direct. We found out last year toward the end of April what they were doing for last years E3. Possible we'll have to wait for the end of the month to find out what they're doing this year. They'll be on the show floor like normal though. Same as last year on that front.

He already stated multiple times that it'll be shown at E3. They already wanted to tease it last E3, but decided against it.

I hope this thing is the most amazing fucking Zelda game ever - Nobody needs another Skyward Sword.

they kinda ruined the rainbow road..since they made it so short it completely misses the point of the what was that circuit in MK 64,it was a test of endurance and skill,a maathon where the slightest error could send you flying ouside the circuit
You should go back to MK64 and refresh your memory. The only way you would ever fall off the course is if you botched the big drop shortcut. The whole track was bordered by fences.

Skyward Sword was not and is not a bad game. The idea that it was is and has always been insane. Neither was the motion controls. It had some padding issues and to much hand holding at times though. Neither of which are major issues.

The Mariokart 8 reveal at E3 was the reason I bought a U in June. Already preordered. If only the release would get bumped up.

I'd take a game like Skyward Sword with improvements to some small things tbqh.

That's Fzero X not Mario Kart 64.
In MK64, there's fences everywhere.
And it made me think that I liked that race way better in FzeroX too...

watching these trailers, I think I finally understand why I dislike most of Nintendos main stable. Those sound effects. Urgh.

Still, the game does look good. Ill just have to play it with the sound off.

Might have been answered somewhere so apologies if so but does this game have two-screen multiplayer? As in, one player can just use the gamepad and have the TV free for the other player(s)?

I'm not sure but isn't it possible to turn off soundFX only?
Because dat score. You can't... no.

Every time I see this image, I'm reminded weirdly enough of Sega's aesthetics. Something about this shot just reminds me of the final scene in the Sonic CD ending where Sonic & Metal Sonic are racing down Stardust Speedway with the gigantic "carnival city in the cosmos" backdrop.

TL;DR This is the best art I've seen in a Nintendo game in a while. Like whoa.

Hmm I guess if that would happen, people would ask questions about 5-player mode and then they would ask for 5-player mode + online competitors and when that happens, they want 5-player mode + online competitors with all MK7 maps included so you can race agains 3DS players, too and so on...

please understand

But Skyward Sword is the best Zelda game.

While we're on the topic of mario kart, do we know if it's going to have the option to split screen over the gamepad, so if you're doing 2 player, 1 person can use the tv and the other the gamepad to each have a dedicated screen?

But it's not a Mario Kart thread. It's IGN telling people to stay up for unknown Nintendo-related news. Maybe he was hoping for something else besides MK and was disappointed.

I was. I also edited my original message, but I'll post it here as well:
My original post contributed absolutely nothing and was clear troll bait. I'm sorry; I'm having a rough day. I shouldn't use GAF as an excuse to vent off steam where it isn't needed so again, apologies.

Personally, I think it's amazing solely on when you consider how low-poly/blocky Double Dash!!/Mario Kart Wii were even for their respective systems. I can't even believe how much of a leap this is.

I'm a nintendo fan and do not care at all for mario kart. I leave....disappoint. I'm glad others like it a lot though. Me want more smash bros info.

Dat Rainbow Road... Lawd it's beautiful!

I'm fully prepared to get last place each and every time there. Because I know I just won't survive that stage, ever.

Gets harder and harder with every sequel. :(

Isn't that the N64 remake rainbow road? Any screens of the new and original rainbow road?
