Not as terrifying as I thought, but maybe with some extra work he could have acceptable eyes instead of black dota.
I just wanted to see how he would look like if Earthbound got a remake in the future, but unfortunately I don't have a computer currently to do it myself

This makes me wonder if within the pokemon reps there's going to be type weaknesses implemented. Pikachu can deal extra damage to Charizard if it uses a lightning move, Greninja can deal extra damage to Charizard too with water, Charizard's airs are great against Lucario, etc

Not if it's a small buff, like 5% of the calculated damage an attack would normally make. It would just be adding in a few more lines of code into whatever algorithm gets implemented when calculating damage dealt
Just a small detail that seems in line with Sakurai's out-of-the-box thinking

I think this is great except for one thing. In the Nintendo Direct, we got 4 trophies. One from Fire Emblem, one from KI, one from Metroid, and one from Zelda. You have a newcommer from 3/4 of those, and I don't think it is a coincidence we got those 4 series with trophies. I think Zelda will get a newcomer, and perhaps Ike will get cut.

Like Ryce said; type weaknesses for Pokemon would be really hard to balance and it would be unfairly one-sided for some of them.

I may be a bit out of the loop, but is there a particular reason as to why we've come to the conclusion that that silly trophy segment is supposed to automatically mean new characters? Aside from that one silly Palutena poke, I'm pretty sure those segments were just there to show off new trophies.

Everything Sakurai chose was for a reason. I will gladly put my name to it. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems unlikely. Then again, some of you still think Ridley will just be a stage hazard. Lol.
I think there is a reason for trophies. What the reason is something I'm not confident in. Even then, I'm not even confident that there is a reason, but I'm leaning towards there being a reason
- The whole trophies thing could just be there just for the Psuedo-Palutena fakeout. It is the only one out of them all that has a purpose for the trophy quiz.
- Could be that they are all characters that have appeared on the series' latest games and he is showing that they will be in trophy form (Zelda has had ALBW though)
- Could be related to newcomers.
- Could be related to veterans they already revealed.
Possibilities are endless.

Would be neat if we got a non-humanoid grass starter. Torterra would be like a Squirtle and Ivysaur successor, and Serperior would be very...interesting...despite not being a popular character. Sceptile would be boring.
As for other starters, I feel like they'd be redundant. Blaziken is popular, but isn't going to bring in anything new besides looking cool.

I was just reading up on the Kirby's Air ride wiki and apparently there are boss battles in City trial and in the Stadium portion (the smash run equivalent of the stadium is the 1 min match after the run, for instance)
Seeing as how Sakurai always improves immensely upon content in subsequent games, it is safe to say we get some boss battles in Smash Run whether they be part of events in the run or event matches afterward. So if K Roll doesn't make it as a fighter, maybe we will see him with his Kremlin's and maybe we will get to fight Eggman in one of his egg machines! Speaking of Sonic, we saw Mets but no Sonic enemies, so I hope they choose wisely for those. My vote is for Motobugs or caterkillers.

There hasn't been any serious talk about it for a while, but there are possibilities for a Zelda newcomer. The only one I remember being mentioned recently is Pig Gannon, but some other popular choices are Ghirahim, Toon Ganondorf, Toon Zelda/ Toon Sheik, Majora's Mask Link (with mask abilities), Demise, Impa, and Skull Kid before he was placed in the backseat as an AT. I seriously question if people take the option of Tingle seriously, but his name gets tossed around too.
I'm holding out for MM Link or Ghirahim!
