This is kind of my perspective on the matter.
- There was no announcement about these titles coming. Zero advertising.
- The games weren't viewable from the Vita's SEN store directly.
- The games weren't able to be copied from a PS3 over to a Vita.
- The PS Blog post for the weekly store update didn't aknowledge their existence.
- Direct tweets to people at Sony resulted in radio silence, aside from Yosp who seemed genuinely surprised.
- The only way to get them copied over was via a workaround we uncovered and exploited on GAF.
If you are referring to the people who said they would buy a Vita for Crash in this thread, sales wise that's not even a drop in a bucket for Sony. No, re-read my post.
"Some tiny measure" of success. Give us something to cheer about, some excuse to give them money. Give us something to celebrate so we can say "yes, the Vita wasn't a huge success, but we did all we could and achieved some targets towards the end".
yep
and most of the people were posting things along the lines of "oh man, quick download all the games you can before sony patches this!"
so, give me a fucking break. you guys KNEW this was too good to be true, but you gambled with your money any way. you knew this was going to happen
Also, I see the Sony Defense Force is already out in full force :lol
This is fucking bullshit. I sold my old Vita 2-3 weeks ago so I could get a Vita 2000 which doesn't come till May 6, so I missed out. I was even contemplating a 64GB. But now Sony can go fuck themselves. Canceling my pre order (which I had fully paid off btw) and not buying another Vita for long time. Fuck you Sony.
Because one person= everyone and being a Vita owner must automatically mean I visited this topic and must have known it was a glitch... Are you being serious right now?
oh come on
the only way to get these games was a work around. you couldnt directly buy them

Are you 100% positive? I actually went ot my PS3 and downloaded the Crash 1 bubble there and then tried to copy it over to my Vita and couldn't get it over via Content Manager, plugged in or wireless. I had to go through my download list.
If this works, people who had the bubbles on their PS3s should still be able to copy the games to their Vita, but that wasn't working for me.

Was that not working even during the glitch? Didn't know that. I posted a little bit earlier hoping someone could check out the bolded part.
I refuse to believe that there were people who were planning on buying a Vita, but now aren't, because they can't play Crash Bandicoot games from the 90s on it.
Blargh. I had just deleted Blood Omen from my Vita to make room for Valkyria Chronicles. But I didn't have time to download it until this morning.
I'm so sad now.
If you got a PS3 it's still transferable through that I believe but if not then
I really want more people to test this out with other games and report back.
Alright, found a way to check.
While PSP games do not mention their platforms on receipt sent to your e-mail
If you buy a PS1 classic, it shows it's platforms
So if anyone bought a PS1 game like Crash or Spyro in the last few days that wasn't compatable (ie, the people who "should get refunds"), please post the receipt, and it should verify if Sony was actually advertising these items as Vita compatable.
Not sure how well this will hold up but Rock Band Unplugged has been "Vita compatible" for years lol

Why would they need to offer refunds to something that they never offered in the first place? People here and elsewhere rushed to download these games knowing that it was most likely a glitch in the system and got in on it when they could. You can't feel entitled to something Sony never offered you to begin with.

VC2 is on that list. There's a bigger list but I don't have the link on me right now.
EDIT: even somewhat bigger and more organized list http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/281768-complete-list-of-pspminispsone-games-playable-on-vita/
They did offer them for sale as 'Playable on Vita' though, glitch or no glitch. And they should honour refunds or downloads on those sales.
I tried it and, no, it didn't work for me. Some people are claiming it did but are backing off on it now, so maybe it was only rumored.
Has anyone produced a screen shot from downloading these games via the SEN PC store yet? One where these games were advertised as Vita compatible? That's sort of the last grasp for a refund argument.
Is there a chance that the reversal is temporary? Wasn't Yoshida talking about mapping the controls for spyro himself? Isn't it unlikely that the president would be talking about it if they weren't going to keep the fix?
That's probably an error no one bothered to correct.
Only read the last page, but what games can you guys not get? Spyro trilogy is showing up for me along with all the crash games. Same with GT PSP.

Are you on the North American PSN download list?
What region are you in? Crash and Spyro are available in the EU, but not in NA.
