More of a hypothetical, but I'm not sure how I could live without these if I ever lived somewhere where they weren't available. I know candies like these aren't really appreciated in a lot of places outside Finland (most people want candies to be really sweet, these are different).
"Turkish peppers"
These are kind of salty liqourice type hard candies with some slightly hot/spicy/salty powder inside. Sogood.jpg
I gave one of those to a US exchange student who was in Finland for a few months and she had to spit it out once the car stopped moving (it was a kind of mini-bus that didn't have windows you could open, just a sliding door that would have been somewhat dangerous to open while the car was moving). And then I send a couple of small bags of similar candies for her birthday a year later and apparently someone (might've been a parent, might've been some other relative of friend, don't remember anymore) asked if I was trying to poison them.
A few from Australia that I miss
I would have said Vegemite, but Cost Plus World Market has it in the US, as does Amazon, but it's more expensive there.
I buy it every time I'm in Canada/Vermont, can't get it here.
why not just buy these
it's the same stuff.
I love these, the gummy type as well. My Finnish friend buys them in bulk whenever he goes back home for a holiday. =)More of a hypothetical, but I'm not sure how I could live without these if I ever lived somewhere where they weren't available. What's the story?

I can get them, but it's truly saddening that America
doesn't even know what these amazingly flavoured chips are.

From my homeland: Irn Bru, black pudding, Lorne sausage and Haggis. The latter being illegal to import.

Cuberdon - Belgian cone-shaped candy made with gum arabic and (usually) raspberry-flavored.
My god I did not even know these existed. And it's you flaunting them again! @_@
As for me:
Can't even import these babies. ;~;
Sucks we don't get kinder sorpresas in us. Good thing the toys suck nowadays. Most are just stupid one figure low quality toys.Hey they have those in Little Tokyo here in LA, I personally am not a fan.

Fun fact about the cuberdons, they're a very local candy and the two biggest sellers have stands basically next to one another. If you pass them and slow your walk the merchants will start trash talking the other's product. Dudes have been feuding for a long ass time and recently had a physical confrontation.
Even that guy's slogan is a taunt as it say "The real Ghent noses".
Las Vegas just got Blue Bell Ice Cream. Still no chickfila though.

but Arnott's Delta cream.
It looks like an Oreo but with a slightly less harsh chocolate taste.
Wagon wheels
a biscuit (cookie) with a layer of marshmallow, raspberry jam and covered in a thin layer of chocolate
most other Australians would say Tim-Tams, but i never really liked them.
Violet Crumble (honeycomb covered in chocolate),
much better than shitty similar-but-not-the-same Crunchie
then there's Smarties (yes they might as well call them M&M's without the stenciling
or Jaffas. They are round chocolate balls covered in orange coating. You're supposed to roll them down the aisle at the movies
Samboy Barbecue chips (crisps). yes, chips are fries and chips are crisps and crisps are chips.
great, now I have to raid the tasteless Hershey's bars in my cupboard that were left over from Halloween.
