Hyrule Warriors : official website opens, new screenshots/artworks

Then they should've typed that as their sentence, because that's not what the one they have actually says.

It's a poorly worded sentence. There's no punctuation for any type of break. As typed, the sentence reads straight through and the description is applied to both Link and Impa.

The only reason anyone would read it otherwise is because they already know that Link is always the main character so the way it's said is changed to force the sentence to comply with your existing knowledge base.

The other way to interpret it is they're saying Dynasty Warriors is the series and it's the first time you play as Link and Impa in that series, which is true.

This is pretty much the only thread I have ever been on where breast discussion has shitted-up a thread.

You should see what the posters who wind up in a Senran Kagura thread by accident are like.

Thank god the 34 pages devoted to this game are almost all people trying very hard to slut shame a cartoon.
Could we please stop these attempts to undermine people who have different opinions? The neckbeards and slut shaming a cartoon etc etc.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with thinking it's stupid fan service and there's nothing wrong with being completely fine with the character's design. Cpuld we agree on that? People just have different opinions.

I'm not very familiar with the Musou/Warriors games, are evil characters usually made playable/unlockable? If so, possibilities are endless here.

Hey guys, are we still talking about Shia's boobs?

Shia's design is terrible, regardless of the boobs. Her cloths are so awful looking.

Anyways, can someone explain this for me?

Yes. In Musou games, ever major character is usually playable. Modern day DW games have upwards of 70 playable characters.

But she's the villain. So her sexualization is being used to show how sexuality in women is evil. It's just another character who you ogle over while also not feeling bad about. It's okay to hate her/kill her because she's being the typical "slut" character. And her tendency to act on impulse or use her boobs to seduce only builds upon the idea that sexualized women are evil, corrupted and worthy of contempt...from both sexes.

No matter how you spin it, while being pro sexualization or anti sexualization her character is still very wrong for a Zelda game.

And humanity. :p

Oh lord. You heard it here first people, Boobs are for 12 year olds and under and are inherently evil.

Let's be honest though the breast "controversy" is what's keeping this thread alive... probably wouldn't' have reached 34 pages without it.

Nothing like a good controversy to increase sales, and god knows the Wii-U needs those right now.

For that reason alone, NOA would be crazy to censor the game in the west (but then, it's NOA, so...)

The NA webpage (which is only a listing of the game, not its official website) says the site needs to have content suitable for all ages. That might be the reason why there's no screen of Cia on it, until the game is rated by the ESRB.

More like invading bad thing in the sky warping over Hyrule castle.

The islands have the Hylia Goddess statue. Which were a major part of Skyloft until
the end of the game where you find the triforce and force the Goddess statue back to the ground.

Yeah, got back home and saw it on PC.
Was on phone and couldn't see all the details.

Maybe it's Skyloft of old brought to the distant future of Majora's Mask by Majora in order to fuse himself with Demise.

People really need to chill. If YOU (in general) have a problem with the character design then be truthful and say YOU have a problem with it. There is nothing wrong with that. Then move on from that (some people are having a hard time it seems stating their dislike and then leaving it alone). What needs to stop is speaking for others or trying to champion a cause here or trying to convinced others they should be "offended". Acting offended on behalf of others that don't need you speaking for them.. Etc. There are times and places for that with subjects far more important and this certainly isn't one of those! Grow up and act like the damn adults you claim to be!

This is getting ridiculous. We should be focusing on when we'll see updated gameplay. Hoping for an early release date. Possible demo on the eShop and hoping the collectors edition is at least available for those that want it outside of Japan.

This is pretty much the only thread I have ever been on where breast discussion has shitted-up a thread.

I would say to some they have enriched the thread, but I see where you come from. The developers did not even think of it like that, the idle mind is a dangerous thing.

What bums me out about this discussion is now you'll have girls who want to cosplay Cia. Maybe they're more curvasious than Zelda or Impa or Maron or whatever cosplays would allow, or they just don't like those characters. They see Cia and think "Yes, finally, a character I can cosplay. A female Zelda character with power and raw sexuality that is a strong and assertive woman. Where is my sewing machine?" and then you have a bunch of lonely fucks with nothing better to do saying she looks like a slut and a stripper and where does that leave the fans who want to cosplay her? :<

Ladies the world over may have lit up at her reveal, only to find pages and pages of people arguing about how needlessly sexual this temptress' outfit is, and they think "Oh, I'm gonna have to deal with this shit if I want to dress as her at a convention? Never mind..."

I don't know what kind of blinders some of you have on but near-naked, sexual characters have been in the Zelda series forever. Maybe you think it doesn't count because the graphics weren't to the point where a breast resembled a breast, or because the sexuality was played for humor, but it's nothing new. We've had a race of naked fish people, a woman who's breasts dwarf Cia's with ample cleavage showing, completely naked women wrapped only in vines giggling and blowing kisses, two old hag witches that combine into a young scantily-clad busty witch, a town of thieves that dress like belly dancers, and that's just off the top of my head. Just because we now have the graphical fidelity to showcase a sexy character as a sexy character doesn't mean it's some kind of dark mark on the otherwise pristine reputation the series held before.

The people bleating things like "Booby Witch" are the people I have the problem with. That's not criticism of art, that's childish mud slinging.

I say "Booby Witch" with endearment.
I dig her design because I find it way something sexy. Impa is sexy too for sure. Heck, even Link is hot. I mean, I must think it looks good because I like looking at it.

Really looking forward to playing it. And as a fan, I don't mind being served.
