Played about 6 hours yesterday and this game is soooooo good. Also one of the best looking console games ever.

The best thing is that blue shell is so greatly nerfed, it's almost useless now and bad players just can't win anymore by using overpowered items. No more mindless item spam.

This sounds like it could be up there with Blur for top tier racing games A more balanced game is the main thing Mario Kart was missing before 8.

This will probably be the first Mario Kart where I'll attempt to be "good" at the game. Never bought the Wii version and I was just a kid when I played the N64 version. Hopefully I can catch up to the veterans after a month or so.

I posted a picture of it one or two pages ago. Not sure if you can properly tell its size from it, though. It's bigger than I thought it would be.

I want a a Wii U so bad. A friend and I played MK8 in GameStop yesterday and good God, it was so much fun. Seems like the perfect local game. I am thinking about nabbing the MK8 bundle with some of my graduation money. I still don't know yet, but that bundle is just too good to pass up. I wanted to buy one thing for myself and save the rest for college, and I have wanted a Wii U for so long now. The time seems right with this bundle. I'm also glad to hear the positive impressions of MK8, glad it holds up from what I've played.

Btw demand for the game is HUGE. In the hour between the store clerk opening the packet from Nintendo and him putting the last game away AT LEAST 20 persons approached him to ask if he'd sell the game to them.

There are actually quite a few option you have. You can set it to focus on Action, Items, Drifting or Everything and you can set up to four players it should focus on, it's pretty nice. Too bad you can't upload full races.

This is gonna get so much use for GAF tournaments.
