Hmm...quick question regarding custom games. There /is/ custom games, right? And we can choose whatever Halo MP to play right

Will custom games, campaign co-op and Spartan Ops be hosted on dedicated servers? I know Titanfall uses dedicated servers for private matches, and I'm hoping the same is true for MC Collection. I live in a country where upload speeds cannot handle many players in a custom game, and even a 4-player Spartan Ops is a lagfest.

This compilation reeks of damage control vs Destiny's ample package whereas a simpler focus on Halo 2 would have been sufficient IMO.

The all thing around the campaign being watched/played through the eyes of Halo 5's Agent Locke is nice but not necessary (except for some fancy unified menu) and I can't help but flag it under "343i likes to show off" rather that "343i has great game ideas"...

Give us ODST, Wars, and Reach on the same disc, that'll show him. Don't say you can't. Rule 27: No Excuses, play like a champion.

This is a strange post, its almost like you guys have more to do than deliberately try to compete and spite other companies with your HD collection..!

Looking forward to this a lot, a great package for fans.

To add onto this, their stats pages could use an overhaul. The Reach stats on waypoint were laid out well and accessible. The Halo 4 stats, while interesting to look at, are not very easy to follow. Navigating it is slow and cumbersome and I feel like it's more difficult to find what I want.

I'm assuming that the stats page will use the same UI design as the in-game menus to maintain continuity

To add onto this, I'd like the online stats to return ot the simpler webpages that we had with Reach. The Reach stats on waypoint are actually pretty good, but as cool as the Halo 4 one may look, navigating it is slow and cumbersome and I feel like it's more difficult to find what I want.

Yeah, it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Hopefully this is one of the big things Frankie was talking about when he said they were listening to the community and learning from their mistakes.

Throw all the new stat programs out, give me the Halo 2 setup for waypoint across all the games and I will be in heaven. Halo 2 stat tracking by games with overall total stats was the easiest to read. It got tricky if you played thousands of games, so maybe a search function of some kind or a filtering selection could help out.

You're damn right it will be.

Hopefully it will be an achievement like it was in Halo 2 Vista. Still one of my favorite achievements to get, even when I was lucky enough to get it in one go.

Nope. They were just supersampled. That was the AA. No extra effects.
They were a bit different besides just sampling; Bungie mentioned that at least Halo 3's screenshot mode used a slightly different method for applying bloom. But yeah, it's very similar.

In some respects the XB1 game possibly still won't be up to the level of screenshot mode, as those shots are supersampled from 4K.
 
I know it won't be a drastic change but i'd like to see comparisons for the other games too, i'd say particularly H3/4 but thats 2/3 of the games :p

Another thing I just remembered:

Everyone in Halo 2 will have full physics now*. In the Xbox version, only the host had full physics due to a glitch.

This means you're going to have new paths and tricks available to you that were only doable if you were host in the original version.


*if it's based off the PC version

examples:

grenade jumps - you can now simply grenade jump to the top of the Sanctuary ring, instead of doing that weird side jump

anti vehicle strategy - grenades will now flip over warthogs and push them back
