Bloodborne leaked gameplay trailer (new leak, early footage)

Seems like this could be the Bonfire/Nexus of Bloodborne.

From what I can tell, you start on the outskirts of the city and go deeper and deeper in until you reach the creepiest parts.
 
Again, like I said, with new twists and an obvious emphasis in making combat more active. But it's a far cry from assuming that it's more of an action game with combos rather than an action RPG, as stated.

Yeah, I agree with that, I don't think it's anything like combo's, I highly doubt From would do that, simply mechanic changes for a more aggressive style of combat.
 
There are different armor sets. The tattered cape will probably still be in.

Also, you can spot a character with the armor set eventually used as the game's "mascot" sticking a glowing sword into a pedestal.

it might be health related, the more tattered and bloody the clothes the lower the health of the MC

Side stepping to dodge attacks looks cooler than the roll. Miyazaki is definitely going for a more cool looking game.

Man this game is gonna look glorious by the time it hits store shelves.

Well it's really good to see such a variety of content already (and this trailer was meant for TGS last year?). Bloodborne is not a vertical slice and mayhaps they have the whole game laid out already. Spring 2015 release looking likely!

The thing that has me most excited is the animation. Specifically the one with the guy lunging and throwing himself off balance. Looks very realistic.

So I'll definitely buy a PS4 now! Too bad I can't balance the utter grittiness that is Bloodborne with Sunset Overdrive, because I like me some fresh colors.

I live underneath a viaduct, see? I need me some escapism.

But fuck shit, a more fluid, fast paced, shot gun toting Souls Game? Curses, I'm so in.

Love how the torch is being used. From impressions already given, the lighting system we expected in DS2 is present and now we have additional combat utility for the torch. So much synergy with all the weapons have multiple attack types of "gimmicks" as Miyazake stated.

Good lord. What a thing to wake up to. The art direction, music and gameplay is absolutely stellar. Love the faster combat speed. Given the earliness of the build (graphics and framerate) it's obvious why they didn't show this trailer at E3. I have every confidence that they will get the framerate locked down (especially with SCEJ involved) before release. Also it's very clear that the game got a major graphical upgrade since last year.

What excites me most is the sheer amount of content in this old trailer though. Definitely gives ton of confidence that this is an early 2015 title.

Do you guys think it was meant to be PS3/PS4 and now they changed it to PS4 only?

No, Miyazaki said in E3 interviews that the began the development hinting for new hardware.

That is a possibility considering the assets in this particular build look plausible on the PS3, but whenever the decision was made to go PS4 only, it unleashed the beast. The new stuff just oozes next-gen.

Man, people are all over this. I know it's footage of an old build and all, but it kinda sucks SCEA keeps pulling these down. People are gonna get hype for it no matter what.

Anyway, looks pretty rough in the video. Not surprised the footage wasn't released publicly in that state. I could easily imagine it's from a build 9 months old or more.
It reminds me of the first footage of Demon's souls.

That didn't look great either.

I think they said development started late 2012.

Aww man so good, this thread is proof of why they decided not to show this. People already complaining about framerate when this is not even what will look like, it already doesn't look like that now and its still a work in progress. This just paints the picture for what to expect combat, atmosphere, and lore wise. Cannot wait for this game I will play it for a long time.

There are no "shields" as the standard we're used to but i've seen multiple gifs with the character blocking with a weapon.

Perhaps they are going to "reshoot" the same trailer with the new build. As a trailer it was pretty nice and gives a good sneak what the game will play like. Officially, there is only the CG trailer released.

In PvP yeah. backstep + attack works pretty well depending on weapons used.

There is also the secret backstep parry technique.... where the backstep animation cancels the parry animation and stamina consumption, gives you mobility and invincibility of the backstep, but also active parry frames in your hitbox!

As for Bloodborne I'm super interested in the online portion. For me that was a big part of the experiance. Invading and getting invaded. It seems all the more appropriate here but it's not something I think I've heard mentioned before. Anyone got any insight on that?
