Toon link pretty much says otherwise.

I think ganon might have one special changed, but falco is going to be the same.

Yeah since Toon Link and Fox have stayed the same, I don't see Falco changing from Brawl. Besides, I think making him a semi-clone like Luigi makes sense.

Hopefully he gets a new final smash though.

Fair enough.

Also, did anyone notice that Donkey Kong's down+B is really good now? It has a massive AoE on it.

He can also use it in the air now as well so that move has been buffed quite a bit, don't know how useful it's going to be though due to the endlag on it being considerable.

I noticed that people in the previous thread were saying that Villager's Final Smash doesn't kill at like 150% (can someone post a video about that?).

The thing is, I've seen it kill at 0% before, and it wasn't even near the blast zone. Maybe the Final Smash works in reverse in that the lower percent you are, the farther you are knocked back...?

There are some who got used to the WiiU pro controller, but some people like me who never used a pro controller (though I used it once and never used it again) are happy that we're able to use GC controller to play smash.

considering the 3DS has a similar layout to the Pro Controller, I think I'm going to try adjusting to it for Smash 4. And it'd be good not having wires around, I guess.

I think the GC control is the best ever, but the Pro Controller is probably the best since. I think it's time for me to move on haha, and yeah as I said, it'll make for some unity between 3DS/U muscle memory.

I just impulse bought a capture card so I can start streaming competitive matches when I get this.

Probably going to regret it later but I have faith in the game being good now, it might be blind faith but I'm willing to take the risk.

At the very least I'll be able to make gifs out of mario kart 8 recordings whilst still being able to use the slowdown heh.

I think they only confirmed that for Palutena and Mii Fighters for now.

I know, I'm speculating, that's why I said "maybe". I'm not saying all unique moves, maybe just one here and there for a few characters. Wasn't Kirby blowing out ice in the direct? That's not a simple variation, sounds pretty different from the normal suction to me.

Why are there still terrible final smashes like DK's

I swear that if we still have three landmasters... *shakes fist*

Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. Yabuki turned off voice chat in Mario Kart races. True artists of their time.

It's a variation of his inhale in that it uses a similar animation and provides a different effect instead, whereas Palutena and Mii share almost nothing in their moves.

So yeah, we might get some "simple variations" that result in something drastically different.

It's still impressive how much better Pac-Man looks using his old design instead of Ghostly Adventures.

It's possible there are 2-3 frames where the other player can air dodge out, but it's hard to tell. Can anybody tell?

Very hard to tell. It does look like a true combo, but it's very close to not being one if it even is one in the first place.

You ever play Flicky? That game was a Sonic re-skin of Mappy.
Flicky came out a good seven years before Sonic ever did (1984 vs. 1991).

They also have a massive amount of beloved arcade games to draw from for that S Flag though:

Galaxian
PacMan
Rally-X / New Rally-X
Galaga
Bosconian
Dig Dug
Pole Position
Xevious
Mappy
Tower of Druaga
Pac Land
Super Xevious
Dragon Buster
Metro Cross
Sky Kid

Smash has always majorly represented consoles and handhelds but now we can get representation from some of the greatest games from the arcade era as well? Fucking brilliant.
It'd be ace if that S-Flag produced representation of Capcom and Sega arcade classics, as well. Like, it'd never happen, but pulling it out and having Ryu pop in and hadouken people, or the dragon boss from Space Harrier start flying in and out of the screen, shooting flames everywhere... that'd be amazing.

How is Chrom pronounced?

"Chrome"? "Crawm"? "Crumb"?
Conan the Barbarian can answer this for you

You could always use abload.de or Dropbox or something, if Twitter and Tumblr aren't working out as image hosts for you. I mean, that sharpening filter applied to the Tumblr post kinda ruins the pixel art aesthetic, IMO :\

Was kokonoe the guy who became qqmoe after that avatar bet? Just noticed they were banned and can't work out who they were.
qq more and Kokonoe are completely different people, although they are good friends.

Also, Kokonoe's banned? Awww. :(

Also an interesting discussion point:

What is Mario doing?

Looks like he's jumping backwards (the Mario Bros cartwheel like that when the jump back,) does a back air, and then his forward tilt. It does look like he slides along the ground after the back air, but that might just be the back air giving him a little horizontal boost while the dust he's kicked up obscures what's going on.

I checked again,

Well, he was doing b-air attack in the air then landed on the ground without any lag into side attack.

Like some people said, some of attacks don't have any landing lag.

I just watched the video of it an the bair just seems to increase his momentum in that direction, he lands and then does a forward tilt.

The bair doesn't cause him to slide, he travels that distance before he lands but it's a bit hard to tell in that sped up gif.

I havent been paying attention to much regarding this game, do we know yet if wavedashing is back?

Welp. :(

But eh, as long as the game is noticeably faster than Brawl Im down.

Well, it's faster than than brawl for sure. That's pretty sure thing for final version since Sakurai emphasized the speed to be between Brawl and Melee. Just hope that the game would be on right track.

That Mario bair to tilt is from the roundtable. Maybe a different build? Sonic seems to lag after his dair attack, but that one's also a divekick.

EDIT: Gonzales, there's lots of footage showing lag after for example Marth's aerials miss. I'm thinking that the builds are different or they're clearly still playing around with values.

Like some people said, some of attacks don't have any landing lag.

This whole deal with the lag is very confusing. Some aerial attacks have an outrageous amount of lag while others have none at all? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe when an aerial misses (like Mario's back air in that gif) get no landing lag so you don't get taken to the cleaners just for missing, but you do get lag when you connect so your opponent has an opportunity to fight back before he gets trapped in a huge combo?

...not that that makes much sense, either.

It almost sounds like the E3 demo build was done without a complete pass on landing lag and the build with Pac-Man in it is a little further along than that.

Impossible to know for sure with the small snippet of gameplay we have and the inability to ask anyone about it, but hey, here's hoping.
