A few days ago I was fine, but now my Dark Souls will not start with GFWL. It won't pop up. I have reinstalled the client multiple times. Validating the cache finds one missing file, and when I start it after the validation it reinstalls GFWL.
Using WIndows 8.1 and it still works fine in Halo 2.
Any ideas?

Have you accepted the new GFWL TOS thing on the website and grabbed the latest version (even if you maybe installed it already)?
That's about the only thing I can think of, other than that GFWL is a piece of shit that should have been put out of our misery ages ago.

Unpopular, niche, or lesser known games should never be up against highly popular titles in the vote. It's just asking for them to lose. Sometimes this week it's felt like Valve had something against the side GAF wanted to win. Why put Dark Souls and Star Wars: Battlefront up against Ikaruga? The latter is going to lose. Every single time.

There's a cynical part of me that wonders if the point was just to give people the illusion of choice. It's not like the outcome of most of those votes was ever in doubt. : /

Yeah, it was on sale a few days ago. And the PC version says Skullgirls Encore in-game on the menu. Don't know if that means it's exactly the same.

And as far as I know, Encore is the PC version with less frequent updates.

It was pretty cheap on GMG before. The PC version is Encore as well.
