I think is due to the bundle still being available. We did see a normal drop similar to MK8 the second or third week in.

Yeah its also partly because that annoying Xbone advert with the blonde american dude playing TF on the sofa is playing during literally every World Cup match break or major programme break. The advertising budget for the console must be insane.

When it comes to making a profit off games in the UK it seems to be: PS4 > 360 > XBO > PS3, at the moment. (Making games for 360 is cheaper than XBO and PS3 is more expensive and sells less.)

Being outsold first week by the PS4 SKU of MotoGP 14 in its second week

Only other interesting thing this week is getting next gen splits on Sniper and Transformers

It's a new number one on the UK software charts this week as Sniper Elite 3 enters right at the top. 65 per cent of consumers decided on a next-gen copy of the game, with 35 per cent opting for PlayStation 4.

The next new entry arrived at 7, Codemasters' GRID Autosport for PX, Xbox 360 and PS3. Transformers Rise Of The Dark Spark was also new at 13, with 30 per cent of sales on PS4 and 27 per cent on Xbox One.

So splits are as following

Sniper Elite 3
--------------------
PS4 ~ 35%
XB1 ~ 30%
360 + PS3 ~ 35%

So Sniper Elite sold about 16.6% more on PS4 than XB1 in UK in its first week. Next gen also sold about 86% more than last gen

Transformers: RODS
--------------------
PS4 ~ 30%
XB1 ~ 27%
360 + PS3 ~ 43%

So Transformers: RODS sold about 11.1% more on PS4 than XB1 in UK in its first week. Next gen also sold about 32% more than last gen. Of course the game seem to have bombed so not sure how much difference there likely is between those SKUs

These kind of results do actually suggest that Cross-gen is probably worth it assuming the ports aren't too costly but last-gen only is a bad bad move

Wow, you have to wonder what MS could possible do in Europe to gain some ground on PS. Still only 1 title in the whole Top 50 in Germany after the release of the new SKU is horrendous. Watch dogs completely gone on the format while the PS4 version is 2nd. And this is supposedly one of the EU markets MS show some care about. What hope does it have for all these other countries it's launching in so late and when people have been able to buy them there anyways.

They wanted to get 40% marketshare this gen in Germany now i guess they would be good with 25%.
Most people i know still connect them to no used games, always online, inferior hardware and the NSA so their image is kind of fucked here.
I recently talked to a friend of mine and asked him if he will buy a XB1 when Halo 5 comes out ( We both wanted to wait for Halo ) and he straight up laughed at me and said "Am i stupid or what?" which pretty much sums most of my friends opinions about XB1.

Tomodachi can't stop, won't stop.

It's great to see it succeding since, from what I remember, Nintendo stated that its sales performance would have been important in order to gauge demand for more "quirky" titles.

Good job, mainland Europe, on this one!

Yeah, seeing One Piece Wii U that high in charts for being a multi releases, as well as MK8 still 6th, makes me think things are going better for Wii U in Germany right now.

And I can't deny I suppose, right now, Wii U is doing quite better than One in Germany as well

Germany seems to be fully transitioning towards PS4 at this rate. PC and to a lesser extent 3DS do well there but for retail sales at least PS4 will certainly be the dominant platform unless something major changes. Quite frankly based on how the 360 has been doing in my time watching the charts it truly looks like MS is bleeding whatever small amount of marketshare they were able to achieve in Germany during the time of the 360. The XB1 does truly look to be doing somewhat worse than the Wii U in Germany.

Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if PC had more total SW sales in the country as this is only retail charts

They lost when they had 1 year of advantage and console which was cheaper for most of generation - there's absolutly no reason why Xbox one would even get close to x360 performance in continental Europe

I don't know that that's in the issue but that's what my spreadsheet said after I put this week's data in.

YTD, market is up 11%, again in terms of £
