It'll be cool if they did classic grey for their 20th anniversary, but at least the US got a white system before Japan multitude of colors.

So the white stand won't be available separately? That makes the white version useless to me if I don't one with the stand bundled.
I traded in a bunch of old games and my orig 360 today totaling $255 credit which I dropped on a preorder for this bundle at GameStop today!
FYI
The gamestop guy ran into a problem trying to get me the $100 for the console in the computer. He said the preorder didn't count as buying a console, so it didn't register the $100 deal. He was super cool though and manually hooked it up for me, saying it totally should count and that they'd contact corporate to fix it.

I forgot this year is the 20th anniversary. I wonder if they'll do something cool to acknowledge it. Maybe a PSN sale on PS1 classics. Maybe bring PS1 classics to PS4. Maybe announce new games of old franchises like PaRappa or Vib Ribbon (to satiate those that were teased at E3).

I still just cannot believe why a special edition console can be make for a franchise that havent prove anything just yet. Im not just someone who like to be put in my mouth what to eat. And this is exactly that this game is doing. They put big money in it, have the team behind Halo, but again, this game is presented as a product you must consume. Am i the only one feeling that way???

Have you not read impressions from the Alpha? The game changed alot of peoples opinion about it.
They didn't make a special edition console - it's just a white version they were always going to release anyway. This is just a bundle for marketing purposes.

People loved the beta yeah i know. But its more the fact that your being told its the next big thing, rather than make its popularity by its own . It will be a great game, but when a new franchise arrive, it really doesnt deserve its special console edition right away before people got a chance to play it. Its where this is blocking me.
It's not a special edition console. It's just a bundle.

Pretty much. I don't think the console boasts anything that's related to Destiny written on it. It just is a White PS4 that's available for limited time only which is being bundled with what could be one of the biggest games of the year, especially for being a brand new ip.

Gamestop was still running the promotion, so I traded in both my 3DS (never play it) and PS4. Completely covered the cost and now I wait
