Love.

115pcs is a lie. That box clearly says its XXX. AFOL only, I guess.

LOL.

As as added bonus, if you only want 70814 Emmet's Constructo-Mech for the Angry Kitty figure, you could buy 2 of these kits and then just buy the one face piece off of Bricklink, as it looks like that it the only difference between the two.

JANG has the new Friends jungle sets and discovered something:

E1lIFwz.jpg

All 5 of the sets combine into one large jungle environment. This isn't just sticking them together, they are combined and built differently. I would imagine there will be instructions for this on the LEGO Friends website soon.

Everything is NOT awesome.

My PlayStation+ subscription (that I completely forgot about) auto-renewed earlier this month and now I'll most likely miss out on the Exo-suit because I don't have enough on my card, and the payments don't go through until the 3rd, when it will be sold out.

Fuuuuuck, this blows.

You know I was looking at them and had that exact thought but it was kind of depressing. Just think that the majority of these sets will never be opened, assembled and enjoyed by anyone.

Depending on how much you can sell it for, you could just Bricklink it and buy the Juniors set with those minifigs.

Yea, but THESE sets will still remain unopened for a loooooooong time. Think of the figs and pieces trapped int those bags. And the exclusive Rocket Raccoon, he needs air. Same with the exclusive mini figs. Very few of those Collectors will ever feel the cool air and be standing in a display with the rest of the GoTG figs.

But The Collector would want to keep his collection pristine and maintained. Never open it. But, at the same time, it is a Benicio Del Toro action figure. Which is awesome.

Yeah, I'm only interested in the set for Aquaman and, to a lesser extent, Freeze. The build looks forgettable.

Aquaman minifig would set you back around $4.50 + tax and shipping from Bricklink.
Best to get the full set on a good sale. You get those nice trans lt blue rock pieces.
You could sell Mr. Freeze for $4+. If you have absolutely no interest in the boat (even for parts) and don't want to deal with selling the other minifigs, then just buy the Aquaman minifig. Otherwise, 30% sale would be a must buy for the set. It was a must buy for me at 20% off MSRP.

Same.

Im ready to throw down...and build!

Edit. Post 15000 eh? What do I win?

Are you at the SDCC? Then NOTHING for you just like almost everyone else!

Haha. I can't wait to see some of those licensed themes. Maybe some forbidden inter-brick connections with clone brands. Also gives a whole new meaning to "bigfig".

I was thinking about buying the Batcopter to get this Batman now I think I might just wait. On the other hand that set also has Nightwing and Man-Bat...

Or I get the Riddler a Chase instead and the later the Batman I really want for cheap. That way I can have the Flash which I like even more than Nightwing.

How many more sets have been confirmed for the Lego Movie wave?

Sets alright but a tad disappointing compared to the rest of the theme so far :/

Nothing has been confirmed yet - SDCC is just a taste of what is to come. Same with Star Wars, etc.

LEGO usually does not do single-set waves though, so I would expect we will hear more in the next month or two, when set names and prelim pictures start to leak out.

Day one.

Bit odd that they hadnt released one :p

I hope it will be part of that now confirmed January wave, but I guess it will be at least 4-5 sets, and I don't know what they could do besides that small Angry-Kitty set and the Batwing. I can't figure out what important stuff could be missing from the movie. I need to watch it one more time.
Oh yeah, Emmet's appartment would be great :)

You think they'll announce more sets for the Lego Movie during SDCC? Because a Lego Movie Batwing would probably change my purchase decisions on August 1st.

That model is amazing.

Seems like the appetite for another building contest is there. How do people feel about using 10662 Creative Bucket as the set of choice?

10662-1.jpg

It looks like it's got massive scope for invention and creativity. Perhaps to narrow down the scope a little, we could make it a challenge to build a diorama (i.e. a scene with some sort of set as well as foreground elements)? Could be based on something real, totally fictional or a bit of both (e.g. nativity scene) ;-)

What are your thoughts?

I have that bucket, and personally, its not that great for contest purposes. But if everyone is on board ill join in.

If only that set was already out, it would have saved a tantrum from a kid in the store who wanted "a black Batman, not a blue one" and whose parents weren't getting a bigger set. Either way a must for me since I'm also missing Batman and another kitty will be nice.

How about these?

I think they would have potential and are actually decent sets.
