(NSFW) Bullet Girls new trailer

If I could make it where if you purchase this game one night, as you are playing, all of your parents, your grandparents, employer, librarian, and neighborhood dog show up, turn on a light and stand in unmoving silence, each with a stolid frown upon their faces. You have no choice but to stand, hang your head in shame, and reflect upon the poor life choices you have made.

Also, a pizza man is also there, he too is frowning.

Cool, I am sure you do absolutely nothing that others would find weird or embarrassing.

I don't really mind whatever this game is, but if it isn't fun then it's a pass for me. Fanservice games have crap gameplay most of the time.

I really doubt it will be half as good as Shinovi Versus.

Hmm, I'm not interested in that. I mean I don't really find it particularly sexy. And I'm not really a big fan of violent video games. But I would be a much more interested in first person shooters and third person shooters if they had cute anime girls like this.

This is what the sort of thing I was talking about though, when I said how I don't like more porn because it normalizes men dominating women. Sexuality is fine, but it bothers me how this sort of thing, which there in the video is clearly women being dominated, is seen as the norm. Worse yet, they look uncomfortable. This isn't just hentai, it's how the Japanese pornography industry seems to be in general. And in American pornography, while it doesn't look as rape-y, it still seems to always showing women being dominated, just like in this video. Also, the American porn industry is super racist.

That's really the major problem with this. And I wish that was what people cared about.
Instead, it seems like they look down upon people finding video game characters or anime characters attractive. Which there's nothing wrong with that. I like NeoGAF because things like racism and sexism aren't okay here. That makes me happy. But this kind of elitism isn't very good. And there's nothing wrong with being single, or lonely, or anything like that. Well, it's not good to be lonely, it hurts to feel lonely. But looking down on people for feeling lonely is mean.

There's nothing wrong with being attracted to fictional characters. And you shouldn't have to have be dating someone to want to enjoy sexuality. I think that too many people on NeoGAF care about what's normal to them too much. And become elitist, and that's mean. And it doesn't help anyone. People should care more about what's moral or ethical, not what's normal. And if something is upsetting, and there's a good reason for it to be upsetting, people should explain why it's mean or cruel, and not just act elitist and mean. Because that doesn't accomplish anything.

And if you're okay with pornography, what's wrong with it happening in a video game or something like that?

Anyway, it doesn't really appeal to me. I'm not really into boobs. But if people are, that's okay. I just kind of wish they weren't being dominated, I'm tired of this gender role and I think it's hurtful.

But I would like to see more first person and third person shooter type games look cute and have female characters like this. That would be nice. I'm not a big fan of violence, but it would make the genre more interesting to me.

If these are the kinds of games you like, then the Vita certainly has plenty.
Seems like that's all it's getting lately.
If it's heavily sexualized games you're thinking of, that statement seems even less accurate than the old Vita only gets Monster Hunter clones meme. Not to start a whole list thing, but take Lost Dimension, Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin, Shin Hayarigami, Hotaru no Nikki, Digimon: Cyber Sleuth, Dangan Ronpa: Another Episode, Sen no Kiseki II, the Musou games, for example. I think there's a decent amount of variety there, and there are more games I could add if started looking.

Please, I'm fabulous

I've learned not to tell people what they can or cannot enjoy. That said, if I had a vita... will enjoy

I...just...if you would enjoy a simulation of groping and watching the clothes get torn off of young-looking female characters who are clearly not into it and not having a good time, I dunno, its really hard not to judge that

So exactly what was that first thing?
Couldn't have been a banana, was all floppy and shit.
But erm, yeah, that's weird.
They're eating Chikuwa, it's a real thing.

Chikuwa (竹輪?) is a Japanese tube-like food product made from ingredients such as fish surimi, salt, sugar, starch, monosodium glutamate and egg white
After mixing them well, they are wrapped around a bamboo or metal stick and steamed or broiled. The word chikuwa, ("bamboo ring") comes from the shape when it is sliced.

But they did also use chocolate bananas in the trailer.

Contrary to if you would enjoy shooting and dismembering enemies in games or even innocent civilians in an open-world game amirite?

The bar in regards to what we find acceptable in videogames is culturally set in a rather arbitrary way imo. If people enjoy it and they don't harm anyone with it irl, who are we to judge.

The end of the trailer in particular seems to highlight the gameplay for fondling captured, injured enemy girls under duress. The fantasy of the game's premise seems to go beyond being about cute, young girls. I see very few voices saying to ban it, what I see more is being justifiably critical of the content conveyed in the trailer.

There's a difference between "telling people what they can or cannot enjoy" and sending and recognizing normal social signals about mass media. A substantiated critique that the game gives the appearance of reveling in mistreatment is a bizarre thing to disregard in a discussion setting under the principle that you don't recognize outside viewpoints.

Did the person you responded to indicate that they would enjoy harming innocent characters or revel in violence for violence' sake in other games, or are you deflecting because it's difficult to respond to the particular critique of the game being discussed in this thread? If you're saying no one has grounds to make specific, substantiated criticisms of videogames, why are you on a discussion board to that end? More or less, saying "someone else did something bad, so this is all right" and "no one can make any criticism" are not strong responses to what was raised.

I agree that both violence and sexual violence is really awful.

Or cruel violence. I don't mind people wanting to help someone. Not every game needs to be about heroines and heroes. But cruelty really upsets and bothers me, even fictional cruelty. And while I don't think that violent video games should be banned, I wonder why some people want cruel to fictional characters to begin with. I know that no one gets hurt, since they're just fictional characters.

But I wonder why people want to hurt people to begin with. Part of the fun of fiction and stories is it feeling real. And even knowing the characters are fictional, if I see them get hurt, I still feel empathy and it still feels bad.

I don't understand why more people don't feel that way. But I don't like cruel video games either, and I do agree that I think that they're too accepted. A lot of video games are too violent, and even have really cruel and mean nasty violence. I wish there were more heartwarming games and less violent games.

Great post. This is really what we should be discussing. I think it's perfectly okay to have sexual games. It's even okay to have games where you interact sexually with your touch screen (like Monster Monochrome or this game). Again, this isn't something I'm interested in, personally. But I don't have an issue with it in principle.

I guess my issue here with discussing this topic, is that, I feel people are being way too judgmental. I guarantee you that if you knew what most people were into sexually, you would find that person "creepy". Not everyone has the same norms when it comes to sexual fetishes.

HOWEVER, I think there IS an issue to be discussed about Japanese sexuality, and their focus on girls being under age. Granted, not every country has the same "adult age" limit, so I think we should be respectful of that (and not assume our idea of when someone is an adult, is the same for everyone or right). (I'm more so talking about 16-18. Some countries define it at 16 etc.).

But absolutely, my issue with these kind of games are the focus of young school girls (who appear to be age 9-14). And the more dominating aspects (ie. groping them, dominating them, and the characters looking in pain or distress). There is nothing wrong with domination in sexuality, as long as its a mutual thing. But these games portray it as one sided. I guess that's the thin line with porn/fetish. I mean, in Porn you can have rape and other serious sexual acts that are not morally okay, but they are fetish. And you would never act it out in real life (unless it was a consensual role play with someone else). Because Porn gets away with portraying whatever fetish it wants, I think that should also be debated with games (but that's another discussion all together).

Really for me, it's the underage fetishization and forceful groping that bothers me here, not the idea of sexual content in games. There is nothing wrong with sexual games, or porn games. If that sort of thing isn't for you, don't buy it. But you don't have to be damning or judgmental towards others because they are into that sort of thing. I find this stuff creepy and embarrassing, I'll admit it. But that's why I don't buy it. I have no issue with someone else getting it though, and I don't judge them for it. But I do agree that Japan has some larger issues with sexuality, and I think that is totally worth discussing.

Better battle damage than CoD and Battlefield. It actually looks pretty damn solid. I wonder what kawaii pantsu tank-chan and helicopter onee-san are wearing.

Since it's from D3Publisher, I kinda doubt it will be localized. They tend not to localize their more otaku-leaning games like Dream Club, and we didn't even get the last Onechanbara.

What's the point in having them sucking of ice cream suggestively?

Just have them suck cock and be done with it.

These games should just be honest with themselves.

Really though, if you look at porn it's really not that big of a deal, I wouldn't buy this, but really it seems kind of silly to get angry or freaked out by a game, where there was games like manhunt and others.

These are fictional characters and everyone have their kinks.

If they could I'm sure they would, but they wouldn't be allowed to sell it on console.

They do that shit on PC instead.

I don't get why the people who buy games like this don't just watch porn.

because non-cartoon porn of girls that age is generally illegal to possess and distribute

I mean the gameplay

The gameplay is great

You know, I never can understand how games similar in visuals to this [like Senran Karuga] exist on 3DS. There's quite a handful of them and it boggles my mind how Nintendo lets games like that on it. Nintendo markets their stuff as young-audience friendly, so kind of weird suggestive titles similar to this get released on 3DS.

It probably sounds like I'm calling Nintendo devices for children, but I'm not trying to. Just surprised borderline-mature content similar to this is on 3DS.

Vita? Pfft, sure, smut it up Sony. Let's not hide the desperation.

Maybe that's why Nintendo doesn't market the games themselves.

Nintendo Japan seems to care a lot less about that sort of thing than NOA or NOE, and it isn't like Nintendo are the ones bringing them over most of the time. That would be NISA or XSeed.

It surprisingly doesn't look that bad.

Notice that the grenade result in erasing the victim at the molecular level making it a more strategic game than a novice would expect, you need to carefully choose between removing their clothes with guns for the eye candy or deleting them from existence with the ungracious explosive weapons.

That was a weird omission considering it was the best one yet. Oh well game still looks good might hold out for a import.
