Snail Games, one of China’s biggest developers, has announced that it will be bringing its martial arts MOBA King of Wushu to Xbox One.

The game, which was previously announced for PC, is a sequel to Age of Wushu. It's martial arts oriented, and will take place in ancient China during a time of upheaval after the death of an emperor.

The battle arena will feature five-against-five matches, with the traditional formula of defending your home base while attempting to destroy your opponent’s. There will be six playable characters, and the world will be entirely 3D.

What makes it unique from other MOBAs is its third-person view and use of an action combat system, which allows players to dodge, jump, and use attack combos.

Wait...Moba? I thought it was MMORPG. Either way I like me anything that feels like Kung Fu Comics style settings like Saint Legend, Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre or Warriors of the Gods. If this captures that I'll probably enjoy it I love that aesthetic in settings. Makes me remember Otogi and Jade Dynasty.

Looks like they're kind of extending the Smite formula? Third person MOBA with action combat. Could be good. The complaints about Age of Wushu were more about the f2p model, right? Combat's supposed to be solid.

Monk guy will need to be modified if this game ever comes to Germany.

He has Swastikas on his necklace. Obviously a different meaning though so I'm not entirely sure how that works.

I would probably be more inclined to play a MOBA in this style. Don't really enjoy the current style of movement and camera.

In before swastikas!

edit: gah, too late. If I'm not mistaken, they are used elsewhere, and might even be flipped (Hindu, maybe?)

Twas a Buddhist symbol for good luck( i think) before Nazis took it for their thing.

This looks slightly better than standard MOBA schlock. If nothing else, there might be some passing entertainment value in the Dynasty Warriors style attack spam.

So with all these F2P games finally coming to Xbox, does that mean that we can look forward to KUF2 in unspecified future? They've always wanted to bring it to Xbox, but Microsoft's policies stood in their way.

Of course it will be F2P, It's a MOBA with 6(?) characters releasing primarily for the Chinese market. With that said, the footage looked decent. I'm a big fan of MOBAs on PC, so I will definitely check it out when the time comes.
