Halogaf just needs to relax and remember there is an ignore feature before it gets itself shutdown again. There is just one particular individual (not Dax) that's on my ignore list and Halo threads are considerably less insufferable to scroll through.

Must be Stinkles

I know you can't see this. Feels bad man.

HaloGAF will relax when it is back to playing Halo, the bickering will continue until then.
ban it or wait it out, the feverish bitching will die down when there is a Halo worth playing out, MCC seems like the first candidate.

How good?

This was more of a NeoGAF issue than a HaloGAF one.. from where I sit anyways.

Oddly, one of the most positive factors about neogaf, likely an emergent property of moderation, is that it forces (especially) young males to confront difficult and complicated social and moral issues. Has also probably saved us from a lot of would be adult Ayn Rand fans.

Yep. Gun b gud
Gosh, I'm so excited. Especially now because it's next weekend. Whatever we see, I'll be super pumped – I just know it.

You mean your wife, Frank O'Connor?
Sorry... I couldn't resist pointing it out.

Hey, Stinkles, I need to know whether you can answer this question.

Will there be advantages to someone using an external USB 3.0 HDD? What I mean is in competitive multiplayer. Like some people loading in faster then others due to the HDD being able to write data faster to RAM? I hope not because it would give an unfair advantage, allowing someone to spawn in a few seconds earlier and be that much closer to a power wepaon.

So, to my question. Yes or no?

Just because you load in seconds faster doesn't mean the game starts sooner. Everyone will start at the same time like every halo game.

Have you ever played a game of League of Legends? Plenty of players are playing on modified Toasters, they take ages to load in the game, you sit at 100% waiting for these plebes to get into the game so it will launch. You don't start playing until the very last member of the session is in the game.

That's not how it works. Everyone starts the game at the same time.

That is why I am asking, I know there is a wait time initially when everyone spawns. My question was in relation to the Gamescom Showdown, when some people spawned in and had to wait for the others to load (though I should have specified in my original post). I was just wondering if that were indicative of the final game.

He's asking because until recently, BF4 did not account for differences in loading time (at least on PC). If you had an SSD, you could load into a game quicker. If a game as high profile as BF4 could ship without that type of protection, and not have it patched in for months, then I can understand being apprehensive about Halo suffering from the same malady.

The mp mode of bf4 was a lot of things, broken, buggy etc. what it certainly wasn't is complete.
I really hope that if halo will be suffering any one of those diseases its just a slight headstart with a ssd.

That's a custom game/build thing, probably.

Networking and physical asset rendering are very different things. A bad ping rate will hinder your MP experience much more that HDD read speed.

This shit announced for PC yet? Or is MS "newly renewed PC focus" just as shallow as their Vista GFWL focus 5+ years ago.

I'm still holding out hope that at least one of those new studios is doing something for PC, but there's no way in hell MCC is going to be announced for PC any time soon.

I'm not buying an Xbone unless there is some miraculous port of Bloodborne, appropriately titled, BloodBone.

It's not happening, so ya, PC and PS4 for the foreseeable future.

From gender discussions to port begging? Oy.

I'm really excited to replay Halo CE Anniversary with a great frame-rate. I loved it on 360 but the micro-stuttering drove me nuts. And the faster switch between the old and new visuals is awesome. I literally switched back-and-forth my entire play-through.

I didn't quote Overdoziz, but was responding to him, of course I get quoted and trolled by everyone else.

Forgot this wasn't the HaloGAF thread or HGS chat.

lol, PC fans are delusional if they think this shit is hitting anytime soon. MS is trying to sell some Bones.

Truth bombs from the mouth of the best TJ member himself. If anyone disagrees, maybe you can get Xbox One and the MCC and prove him wrong in November :)

When are they going to bring back the slow in the plasma pistol and plasma rifle?

I'm still mad ever since they took it out in Halo2.

Calling Stinkles.

Anyone in Toronto hear anything about MCC being playable at Fan Expo next week?

Also, this thread is getting out of hand. Let's get it back on track.

Over and Booshka actually got banned?

Can't wait to see PAX presentations. Please Frankie, show some clips of a 60 fps CTF on blood Gulch in CE, or some BTB in Sandtrap with choppers. Just want to see what they look and play like. Hopefully you guys announce the final map for H2A, shouldn't be a mystery like this, only two months from launch.
