Now that would actually be a legitimate bummer. I hope they play with custom movesets for the clones.
I mean, it'd make more sense for Lucina/Marth to have the same moves, but Dorf isn't THAT much of a Falcon clone. We'e already seen some slight divergence from Falcon like with his jab, utilt, changed dtilt and ftilt, and his changed Usmash along with the flame choke.
I also think that his down special when done from midair does a small shockwave. Not sure about Falcon's.
I feel they're already different enough to warrant some more varied custom moves, yknow?
I have no idea how you could play both those characters and come to that conclusion. The difference is like night and day.
yeah, same here. could really transform clones into their own unique character if done well.
but then it begs the question, if they went to the effort to makes new moves for them, why not have them as part of the default move set.

This thread moves fast. Snake is still rumored to be in the game, DLC or otherwise?
The leaker who said he would be DLC has since said that he was just messing with us, and instead Mach Rider, Dixie Kong, Ridley, Mewtwo, and Impa would be in-game unlockables.
In other words we have no idea.

True. The DK series, especially Country Returns and Tropical Freeze are great. But Dixie? Sigh.
Actually, I don't mind Dixie. As long as it's not Candy. To be honest I can't tell half the Kongs apart. Too many in my opinion.

This roster is amazing. Totally hated Brawl's roster, definitely the best newcomers of the lot for me, but...
I read people talking about "Doc" being an alt or something earlier today and got really excited thinking Doc Louis was playable. Just now I realised they must've actually been talking about Dr Mario...

I'd rather not have characters just for arbitrary reasons like "the franchise needs more representation". I'm not exactly opposed to Dixie but from that franchise I would definitely prefer K. Rool and Cranky first.

You will get them as DLC. But only Nana. Popo is extra DLC and is a clone character.

Seriously though, the leak is obviously real, but I thought the reputed DLC leak was actually from a different guy to the screenshots, and thus likely inaccurate.

The guy on 4chan with the DLC list was just fucking with people.
He went and posted this yesterday but again he's probably just messing around.
It's the SAME guy, but he's since said he was lying to see who copied that so he could tell who else was legit? I think? So the DLC is out. Basically, anything text based not in pictures is up in the air; but the locked All Star mode suggests there is more to come.

Leaked DLC is in fact false and came from another person. According to the NOA/ ESRB leaker however,there may be an additional 5 characters he has yet to unlock as All star mode is no where to be found.
Not so far ago Sakurai said they had no DLC planned ... which means that IF we have dlc it will be like in a few years ... which I think it is not that likely because Sakurai needs to SERIOUSLY rest and he wants to get out of the smash franchise.

Yep, I'm convinced now 5 characters are missing.
Ice Climbers, Snake, Mewtwo, Mach Rider and Dixie Kong would be awesome imho.

While true, it'd be pretty strange to see Ice Climbers as one of the last unlockables since they were in the starting roster for Melee and Brawl. That's what makes me think they may not be in. Also im fine without Snake. The only returning characters I care about are Wolf, Lucas and Mewtwo. Especially considering this roster it wouldn't make sense if dr Mario and dark pit were more important than wolf and Lucas.

They could easily make a whole bunch of shit up to go with the true stuff. Pics/vids or it's fake.
Pretty telling how Shulk, Bowser Jr and Duck Hunt are the only characters they say anything about.
The character list is an asspull, however the part he quotes is mostly confirmed with considering it fits like a glove.
This makes no sense.

Current Ganondorf users mostly want him declined as well. Including myself.
Truthfully I think many would prefer melee dorf since brawl dorf is so sluggish.

Personally, I'm rooting for Ice Climbers, Solid Snake, Wolf, Chorus Kid/Chorus Men/Marshall and Lucas/Mewtwo/Dixie if we are getting only 5 characters. I wonder if there would be a DLC button.
Then put Blood Falcon into the game as a C.Falcon clone, and give him Dorf's current moveset.
Ganondorf deserves to be his own character.

Speaking of Blood Falcon, I wonder if they'll finally update him and Peach's Daisy alt to be proper alts and not just recolors. With voice/announcer changes.
