Arcades lol
Ya goofed Nintendo
I was watching the trailer.
I was like
"Yeah. Fuck yeah. Why the fuck not, looks fun. Yeah sure I'll play it. My Wii U wants more games, wond-"
COMING TO ARCADES IN FUCKING NOT WHERE YOU LIVE.
"Well. Yeah. Wii U saved right Nintendo?"
I think it will hit the wiiu. But this is the seakond game in a row that nintendo mismanages in terms of communication.Wii U has a lack of third party games, not first party. This is a game of a Nintendo property and it was said to be on arcades first.
Arcades lol
Ya goofed Nintendo
Nintendo got goofed by Nintendo.
Game licenced by Nintendo is definitelly not coming on Nintendo hardware.
Nintendo won't see a dime from arcade game licenced by Nintendo.
Please kill me...
Pretty impossible Just because Namco is developing doesn't mean that they own the rights to the game.
Plus Pokemon TCG Online is mostly to help promote the actual card game.
Pretty good, I think. I'd be really surprised if it doesn't hit Wii U by 2016.
I'd say 90%
Tekken games are always released in arcades way before the console version. It's like a beta of sorts.
Wii U 2016
High.
Tsunekazu Ishihara stated it was coming to arcades first, then joked that he probably shouldn't have said that. Plus the fact Tekken games always come out in arcades first.
Plus, with TPCi promoting it, it'll come. Mark my words.
All the Pokemon will be turned into Female half-human hybrids with lots of fanservice.
..
..
Let us not give them ideas...
I think it will hit the wiiu. But this is the seakond game in a row that nintendo mismanages in terms of communication.
And being a partnership, as ff, make the case even worse. Why not confirme it if it is a lock?
Why are we back to japanese only streaming? Why are we back to japanese and or arcade only release?
Here's a question. GameFreak isn't owned by Nintendo, right? But GF owns the Pokemon IP, right? Since this is a crossover, any chances it could come to other consoles besides the Wii U? Or would Nintendo keep it on theirs exclusively?
Because this is how Namco operates with their fighters. They don't officially announce the console version until they work out the kinks of the Arcade version. Likewise, they limit their arcade releases to Japan most of the time.I think it will hit the wiiu. But this is the seakond game in a row that nintendo mismanages in terms of communication.

it'll come to consoles later. that was coyly conveyed in the presentation earlier today
I wonder how many people who say this actually know how most fighting game announcements happen in Japan.
Guys, this isn't hard. Fighting games usually go to arcades first, then their respective consoles.

Wait. If it's coming in 2016, and Nintendo hypothetically releases a new home console in 2016, could this be a launch game?
If it's a fighting game initially announced for arcades, it's going to come to consoles. There are very few exceptions. Also, do you really think Nintendo wouldn't release this on Wii U when it's their mega franchise and there aren't that many games slated for it in the future?

You guys don't think very hard about things, do you
People claiming the wiiu version coming, please allow the skepticals to speak. Wiiu lack of games is annoying. If also nintendo miss the chance to reassure wiiu owners about software, as for this and fatal frame..
Harada said he considers more of an action game (according to Kotaku), so you might be right there. Tekken's movement is pretty complex, and they're going for a big audience here. Simple sidesteps and no position based combos would be likely.
I can see them toning down the backdash cancels, sidesteps, and the wakeup game to make it easier for everyone-- but let me have my wavedash!
So now that we have the fighting-type game announced we can move to the next projects.
-Wave Race for water types
-Brain Training for psychic types
-Farm Simulator for grass types
This is just de beginning!
If this was announced at EVO, I bet Twitch would've melted.

You know EVERY fighting game (Tekken, SF, etc...) goes thru the "arcade -> console" cycle.
If you don't think an updated, play tested, new characters version is coming to the Wii-U afterward then I don't know what to tell you
Dude, you don't even know how much I'd be over a water-type Wave Race!
Going off of that theme, maybe we could see a flying-type Pilotwings, or a steel-type Tower Defense? I have no idea what this Idolm@ster-whatever is, but if it's a rhythm-game dress-up like I'm assuming, fairy-type might be a good fit.Or just give us sound-type and give them the rhythm game thanks.
If that's the case, then Pokken could have a shorter wait time in comparison to more technical fighters (Tekken, SF) for console release?

Half of the thread is explaining the "arcades lol" stuff, did you read it?Arcades lol

POKEMON AT EVO2K16 CONFIRMED
If it's a fighting game initially announced for arcades, it's going to come to consoles. There are very few exceptions. Also, do you really think Nintendo wouldn't release this on Wii U when it's their mega franchise and there aren't that many games slated for it in the future?
Really, guys?
You need to see PokéPark Wii. It has Water-type races and Flying-type races in.
Because I had it on good authority earlier in the thread that it wasn't likely much of anything (Damn you Berto!) and I didn't wake up in time to see it. Multiply that by millions that didn't expect much and you get a teaser that didn't reach many eyes, until the fervor was over.Still don't know why it wasn't.
They haven't said anything about that. I guess we have to wait and see.Did they confirm anywhere the roster is limited to Fighting Types? I'd actually like that to be the case, as there are a lot of under appreciated fighting Pokemon that could be showcased.

It will also be released for Wii U
Do you guys want to know why Namco does arcade releases first?
- UMvC3, console-only release, had a metric crap-ton of glitches, even though a few were patched before the UMvC3 contract expired
- Injustice, console-only release, had a lot of glitches that NRS eventually patched
- SFxT, released on consoles first, had a lot of glitches, a few were patched
- TTT2, arcade first, worked out glitches at arcades, came to home consoles with little-to-no glitches
- AE & USF4, arcade first, see TTT2
I am not worried. I am upset. It is a nintendo licensed game to namco. Nintendo should announce from the beginning also the wiiu version. Nintendo should be more updated in communicating to their very few wiiu owners. It'll be for Wii U as well, why are you worried? That's how Namco operates: arcade first, console later.
The next Nintendo portable will come out in 2016 at the earliest. I can see it being announced next year, but that's it.Because I had it on good authority earlier in the thread that it wasn't likely much of anything (Damn you Berto!) and I didn't wake up in time to see it. I actually expect a version of this to come to 3DS or Nintendo's next handheld as well. Depending on how long 3DS is being ridden. If their next handheld launches fall 2015 I can see it being a quick and easy launch port.
Again, the usual cycle of events for Namco fighting games under Harada.I guess I should get you guys ready for the interview where they say "we have no plans to bring this to console yet." Especially if you guys are already freaking out over the current arcade only release.
