Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I've been giving them away five or six at a time over the last few days because I didn't want to clog up the system with bundle extras, haha. Almost done giving them away.

I'm going to have to use that new garbage dump banner. :)

I see Dead Rising 3 trading for 10 keys, very temped ineed, so is it regionlocked? Tried to figure out looking at SteamDB. Also, I saw Sub Zero used to trade keys, so there is cheaper way to get keys than the market in Steam?

*Edit* Whoa! Just realized that I've become a Member!:D The joy!

I don't like you? I honestly don't remember why, I have neutral to slighty positive feelings when reading your name. But could just be the NHK avatar. Anyways, congratz o

Sorry, I can't remember you.

And @ the guy who send me a pm: how should I love you, if you're to ashamed to talk to me in public? :,(

edit: Oh, you sadly posted, when I wrote this post. Giftlink is sended, already, sorry! :(

But you can have To the Moon, if you like

I was just trying to keep from possibly filling up the thread, not because im ashamed.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Btw, do users on the ignore list automatically get added to my own ModBot blacklist?

No. Users you perma-block will be prevented from entering your giveaways without the need to add a rule, however the community blacklist will only be used if you opt for the BLACKLIST rule. There is a bit of interplay, though, insofar that any users you perma-block will be added to the community blacklist as it's intended as a last resort against those who are egregiously abusing or misusing the system.

Edit: Oh, duh, I hopelessly misread your post. No, your forum ignore list isn't tied to ModBot at all.

some unclaimed keys. the only ones im uncertain of are bastion and MOTN, the rest should be working just fine.

I've asked this before, but is it normal for a GPU (I'm pretty sure it's my GPU, could be wrong) to make a buzzing or humming when playing certain in games (usually more demanding ones)?

When I play things like STALKER and Bioshock 1 or even smaller games like Gunpoint or FTL, there is no noise at all. But when I have played Dishonored, Last Light, 2033 Redux or Bioshock Infinite, I hear a consistent buzzing or humming (that stops if there is a hitch in the game or I alt+tab or something, and starts back up as soon as the game is being rendered again). I'm just wondering it this is something to be worried about or if it's normal.

I've tried various fixes, I'm almost positive it's the GPU though I could be wrong, and I haven't noticed any negative effects on pefromance. I'd like to think that my it'd not something that will ruin any of my components, but I'm not positive.

Nope, there are people on their second run, still no achievements, they don't work.

Yep, must be bugged for the time being - they're all still sitting at 0% in the global stats.

Yeah, sounds like your GPU fan(s). The cheaper cards have really ghetto fans that make a bit of a racket when they're under load. I had one like that and i replaced the fan with an aftermarket cooler and it's whisper quiet.

Picked up "Tower Of Guns" in the weeklong sale for £3. Totally worth it. It's like Quake and Unreal Tournament had a roguelike offspring. I must've gotten incredibely lucky with my loot drops on my first completion of the game though. Beat it after 11 deaths. I got 2 damage multipliers, a charge multiplier and a firemine mod for my shotgun. Made tearing through the bosses a bit too easy. Really satisfying gunplay though, and it gets pretty ridiculous at times, especially when both flying enemies and turret enemies spawn all over the place in a room! I can see getting to the top of the tower with different perk tweaks and weapon choices could ramp up the challenge a ton more.

That's certainly piqued my interest, going to have to look into this one.

Damn you digital oceans! I really can't be bothered with faffing around with VPNs for something I doubt I'll commit to. Anyone here tried them out yet? Performance wise how do they compare against the vanilla versions? Any glaring or game breaking bugs?

Could be coil whine. You never can tell when adding electrical components together that weren't designed from the outset to be in the same box so really it's just luck of the draw, sometimes all it takes is something like a capacitor to resonate at a slightly different frequency when under a certain load. I've been lucky with GPUs but had it quite a lot with PSUs.

A good test is to run something like a benchmark tool and make sure your speakers/headphones are turned off and when it's running listen out for any noises coming from your PC. Even the awful Windows Performance Index test will do the job as the Aero test puts enough GPU load on to make a difference.

your fan will ramp up to higher speeds when it gets warmer (plays more demanding games). It could just be getting old if it's more noise than usual. You could try cleaning the dust out of it.

Wow really? That's not cool. I had some weird sound issues during the first section, too, so maybe they just dropped the ball on this one. I'll just play through it again in a week or two when they patch it...if they do.

Sounds like your fans are kicking in. perfectly normal, though if you notice it getting louder with time it might mean that there's some dust in your case and it's causing things to heat up sooner than it normally would. Might need to take a can of air to your PC.

So...how are people feeling about the Walking Dead finale? I'll play it tomorrow since I'm waiting for the Playstation release but is it as horrible and badly written as the rest of Season 2?

I enjoyed it, but... I was hoping it either went a different way, or was, I don't know, a little more substantial. The story of the season was a little jumpy, far more than the first, and did not flow as well. Plus it peaked with the Carver episode. This one, though, does have some good moments. Just wasn't as great as I was hoping for.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
The past few weeks have been... fun.

August 6th
I contact Steam Support and request that Talisman: Digital Edition be removed from my account so I can redeem the Gold Pack that I have in my inventory (it was cheaper than buying all of the individual DLC apps). In addition to the full name I also mention the game's app id (247000).

August 14th
I bump my message as there's been no response. About 14 hours later, "Walter" responds and says that he has removed the game from my account... the only problem is that he removed Talisman Prologue, not Talisman: Digital Edition. This didn't bother me, though, as Prologue is included in the Gold Pack, so it wasn't something that couldn't be undone -- my luck being what it is, however, it turns out that all of the apps in the pack aside from Talisman: Digital Edition itself are set to be ignored by Steam's licence cross-check, so I'm still at square one.

August 15th
At first I alert Walter to his mistake, but then close the ticket in favour of posting a thread on Steam Community asking Nomad to change the configuration of the sub, figuring that removing the cause of my situation would not only help me but also prevent others from finding themselves in the same boat. A Nomad employee says that the matter of apps being ignored by Steam isn't something that they can control but he's forwarded the matter to their Valve contact. A week passes and the sub isn't altered, nor does the aforementioned employee update the thread, so I reopen my ticket.

August 24th
Walter responds once again, this time giving me the heads-up that removing Talismania Deluxe will also remove all of the other games included in the PopCap Complete Pack. At this point I sigh to myself and politely point out that Talisman: Digital Edition, not Talismania Deluxe, is the game that I've been been wanting to get rid of. Now to wait.

I installed this thing
(actually it was the TT II version from last year)
and it's been one of the best upgrades I've ever done. My GPU is almost completely silent now, even under heavy loads which my wife appreciates since my PC is in the living room. It also brought my temperatures down 15%-20% over the stock cooler which should in theory extend the life of the card a bit. Just thought I would share since it's the best way I've come across to eliminate "fan noise" while gaming.

This is actually something I've been wondering for a while, I have a game I'd like removed from my account, but it came in one of those weekly humble bundles where all the games are attached to one key. Would I be able to get rid of it while keeping the rest of the games in the bundle?

Just use the hide function and save yourself the hassle of dealing with Valve support.
I tried to get Stormrise removed from my library at the same time JaseC started his ordeal. 3-4 days later, I get a response telling me to enable Steam beta and just use the "hide this game from my library" function.

I didn't even bother to follow up... I'm trying to REMOVE stress from my life these days, not ADD it.

Thanks for the replies guys! My card isn't that old, so I don't think it's an age thing. It probably is the fans though. The only reason I thought it might not be the fans I because of how abruptly it stops and starts again when there's a hitch in a game. I thought maybe it was a PSU issue and I was going to end up with all my components getting fried. But you guys are probably right, it's probably just a fan. I have a EVGA GTX760, and the two fans on it look fairly cheap so that wouldn't be surprising. Thanks!

Well ya, Walter is a loose cannon. You may see games disappear from your game count, daily. Who knows what Walter has in store for you.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
This is actually something I've been wondering for a while, I have a game I'd like removed from my account, but it came in one of those weekly humble bundles where all the games are attached to one key. Would I be able to get rid of it while keeping the rest of the games in the bundle?

Nah. Removals are sub-based; it's all or nothing.

So...how are people feeling about the Walking Dead finale? I'll play it tomorrow since I'm waiting for the Playstation release but is it as horrible and badly written as the rest of Season 2?

I thought it was one of the better episodes of the season. I don't think it really manages to tie the whole thing together but on it's own it's not bad.

Ubisoft keeps emailing me about the Crew, and I can't even run the game. Anybody want to take my beta key? If you can fraps it even better.
