Favorite "Celebrities" that are Gamers

Ellen Page in her childhood:

"When I was younger I was a huge videogame player, original NES, Genesis, [original] PlayStation. Then when I was about 16, I moved out and decided not to take my videogames with me. It's unbelievable when the last thing you remember so intently was Crash Bandicoot… which is a great game."

She played some games recently though.

Trent Reznor is a gamer since forever and he even pitched at game and wanted to finance it with some big publishers but it didn't work.

Just blaze.

He always been a gamer and done some production for games like TMNT Out of the Shadows. I think on the Jay Z Fade to Black documentary, they said he was such a gamer he would do beats just to get more games.

One of my favorite producers btw :D

Michelle Rodriguez is the first major feature film actress i can remember who really seemed hardcore into gaming. Remember reading an interview for OPM back in the day while she was promiting driver 3, her gamer references seemed legit.

Back in the day she used to come into the Funcoland I worked in once in awhile. There was a dude who was on the Knicks, or the Nets at the time who would come in and just buy whatever had been released on the PS2 since the last time he was in.

I once played with Megan Fox, during a 'Game With Fame' promotion for the second Transformers movie tie-in. She rejected my friend request, even though i literally saved her from Megatron.

I was initially a little disappointed, but it did help me to better relate with Sam in Dark of the Moon.

Dara O'Briain and Charlie Brooker are pretty legit, and have had some entertaining exchanges on Twitter.

Haha I tried to get in on that Game with Fame and had no luck. She does legit follow some comics and comic artists though. She practiced comic art and is pretty good at it.

Felicia Day. The Guild was amazing. Story of my life.

Summer Glau. She just kicks ass.

EDIT:

I forgot someone very important:

Superman himself has been known for his little WoW addiction.

Slayer of Combofiends
Dylan Sprouse, interested in Super Smash Bros commentary and game design? Cool dude hands down.
His brother on the right is pretty cool too

I don't know if he's interested in Smash commentary but since I play with him on the regular, he is a HUGE smash fan. Also Nintendo fan in general.

Is it me or does most of the celebrities dont care about Final Fantasy and Silent Hill. I never see these mentionned when celebrities talk about games. Yet these games always have threads on neogaf.

It is extremely hard to play games like Final Fantasy as a professional due to lack of time. There hasn't been a good Silent Hill game in a long time so maybe that's why.. I'd still love to see Conan do a bit on PT though.

Yes, this should definitely happen, I know he can't work the sticks too well but even with Andy walking him through it should make for some good video.

Josh Robert Thompson (dude who voices Geoff Peterson on Craig Ferguson's show) has a Wii U, and I'm pretty sure I've raced him in Mario Kart 7.

Michael had a whole huge building in Neverland full of arcade cabinets and store kiosks for consoles. A few months before he died a place was going to auction them all and scanned them to create a virtual tour. He had so many great games. He ended up cancelling the auctions once he signed on to tour.

Some staff would recall him bringing a few of his arcade machines with him on tour everywhere he went.

He also had roles in Space Channel 5 1 and 2, Sega ASM1 Space Scrambler Training (arcade game), and Ready To Rumble Boxing. He even worked on the Sonic 3 soundtrack, though how much of his work made it in is unknown.

Aisha Tyler is amazing. I have so much respect for what she's doing.

Joel McHale is also nice and funny (except for transphobic jokes). He's really versatile and can adjust to whatever situation he's in. See Ubisoft conference and the VGX show.
